Anyone excited or happy that BioWare improved on the cover system?  Adding in combat rolls and such, and allowing us to be stealthier?

Maybe now the infiltrator class will feel a little bit more like an infiltrator, and the soldier class will feel like a soldier, doing combat rolls and swat turns and such.

I do like the combat roles, it will give more control over shep and the game will be more fluid.

Gonna love going stealth using the heavy melee on the bad guys.

I think shepard finally looks like the N7/Spectre he is supposed to be.

Yes very much so, this is my favorite of the new features.

Hopefully no more getting sucked into cover whilst sprinting or Insta-death accidentally hopping over cover into a hail of bullets. On the other hand more contecxt sensitive functions coming from one controller button could make these things happen more often. Have to say the demos looked great though.

Personally, I'm not usually very good with shooters so all the concentration of the demos on fast-action, real-time, highly mobile combat where the bad guy's have more advanced AI and the difficulty level is increased are a little worrying Image IPB

As long as I can handle it, I'm sure I'll love it but we'll have to see Image IPB

I'm not sure my Dad is going to like it, though. He had to turn ME2 down to the easiest level and he still finds the fights hard!

Love the rolling and the potential for stealth kills. I love my CQC and wading into a fight like the engine of destruction my Shepard is, but I do prefer to start off fights with the element of surprise. Being able to snatch a guy out of a group and impale him to start the fight with that group would be great.

It's nice, but I think I would be happier if they upgraded the squadmate AI, so that when they are getting hit by gunfire they would actually take cover instead of standing right out in the open (yes I'm talking to you Miranda!), that was my biggest gripe with ME2, stupid AI for the squadmates, these people were suppose to be the best and they couldn't even think enough to take cover.  All the combat rolls and manuvering is great but a better squadmate AI is more needed IMHO.

It's a nice touch that would be made even nicer with a crouch function.

Fortunatley, they have improved the Squad AI.

I think BioWare said that Liara's AI in LotSB helped a lot.

Yes, I really like what I've seen. I think it's a step... actually several steps in the right direction.

My only concer is this: I'm a PC player and I have minor worries that the new controls might not work so well on a mouse+keyboard. But I'm hopeful that it'll work out fine.

Definitely happy. Hopefully the infiltrator will actually be an infiltrator now. I always thought that Spectres are supposed to be some sort of black ops. There's practically no stealth in ME2, at least in ME1 you could snipe from distance (although enemies were immediately sure where you are even though the shot came from kilometers away).

Yes it's going to be awesome, exciting! Loved the E3 demo for that, they've worked hard on this and it's going to pay off. The combat is something about ME3 I am not concerned about at all and very much looking forwards to.

As long as the combination stealth + cloak isn't treated like in Arrival, I will be very happy. I loved to cloak, sneak up close to enemies and take them out with the Locust. Actually being able to cloak and sneak up to enemies that aren't aware of you at all will be even better. Add the new melee attack and I'm almost too exited to sit still.

The combat rolls may actually provide the evasive move I missed in ME2 when moving in the open and seeing a shockwave or a missile coming towards me.

I like it but until I actually play it and see how it feels I won't know for sure.

As long as it feels responsive and fluid (aka not clunky) I'll be happy.

As long as we get a decent A.i. because lets face it the stealth in Arrival wasn't good. We don't even need Splinter Cell level stealth just a decent system that relies on LoS and sound; theUncharted system would be fine for something like this.
