The Reapers entered our Galaxy and Batarian space during the event of the "Arrival".  Two months later Shepard is on trial on Earth for his actions there, which fortunately delayed the Reapers from spreading to the rest of the Galaxy. The Alliance hopes to avoid a war with the Batarians by prosecuting Shepard. And during the trial the Reapers arrive on Earth. During the assault the first ground troops we see are some type of batarian husk hybrid.  Sooo what exactly happened in batarian space?  If the Reapers were attacking them wouldn't they have sent atleast one distress signal? And the Alliance must be in dialogue with the Batarian government so wouldn't they have noticed  something?  Are the Batarian working with the Reapers? They practice slavery, so its not far fatched to think the batarian leaders would give the Reapers slaves to experiment on if they promised to spare them. Or was every single batarian indoctrinated and convinced to not flee or warn the rest of the galaxy?  Does the Leviathan of Dis have something to do with it or was that just an Easter Egg?
