Okey, was a simple mistake that I missed. Extra hidden files (probably appeared after me storing the saves in Mac OS X) were messing with the game and it tried to load these files (have the same name, with the addition of ._ at the beginning) instead of the original files.
I've got a problem. My character has completely broken and I can no longer load saves connected to the character. The information about the character (that is visible in the "Switch character" screen) is empty and shows that the character's level is -1. When I try to load the saves it says that the file may have been corrupted. Below are two screens of what I see when I load my character.
