Seeing as EA already offers it for preorder - Any chance the same digital content will be soon available for preorder on Steam too? Or will we have to live through that DA2 drama again? And no, I'm not going to buy anything from EA store - ever. Not while they push their service in like this.

I don't know, there is a good chance... somethings will be exclusive to EA Store, so be prepared to miss content.

I think it says on Origin that the digital deluxe edition is Origin only. So since I refuse to buy anything from them, I'm just going to buy the Collectors Edition from gamestop.
I'll likely buy it again on steam cheap just to have it in my library eventually.

At the moment it looks like the Digital Deluxe Edition of Mass Effect 3 will be exclusive to EA's Origin online store. It is highly likely that the standard edition of Mass Effect 3 will be available on steam in due course (probably a couple of months before release).
As Complistic says you are probably best to buy the retail Collectors Edition, that is what I am doing anyway. Even if they hadn't made the DDE Origin exclusive I would have still gone with the retail Collectors Edition, it just seems appropriate since this may be Sheps last outing.

I hope EA realizes no one cares for Origin, Steam is a major reason PC games haven't completely bombed...I'm just sick of these publishers shooting PC sales in the foot; first Ubisoft punishes legit buyers by making them the same as pirates if they don't have internet (how they jumped to the conclusion that you pirate content off the internet without the internet is beyond me), now EA is cheating loyal BioWare fans out of ease of access when it comes to purchasing their games. I prefer to purchase games through Steam because it's all one collection and one account. I can't count the number of times a game suddenly stopped working (ie Mass Effect) and all I had to do was verify game files and Steam would find a missing file and redownload it for me. I hope Origin flops or at least doesn't produce much profit for EA.

Well, I'm sure Warez websites will be full of digital content for ME3 including ME3. I don't care about it anyway. I've pre-ordered my ce edition. I think origin eula isn't user friendly so I pass that "thing".
