Did you not read any of the load sreens in ME2?  It says you can Export your Shepard to Mass Effect.....IF you survive.  Which means Shepard dies, no import for you.

I couldnt even get shepard killed when I was trying to....

I used default Shep for all my Shepards, so, it's very unlikely that I'll want a change:whistle:

I couldnt even get shepard killed when I was trying to....

Follow the instructions found in the MEwiki and you should be able to get him killed... but that would really be a waste of precious time:mellow:

And they did that because you actually have to try to kill Shepard when killing Shepard. Would be cool if they added in a cutscene for the people who didnt pay attention to that and still try to upload the file lol.

they need an excuse? my bet is that the trial needs to set up a database on shepard. new character means itd corrupted.

Or how about the Med Bay on the SR2 gets an upgrade, with a Mirror of Transformation Plastic Surgery Interface so that Shepard can go "incognito" on some missions.

My guess, Shepard is asked to update his file since it still probably says KIA.
