I want to be friends with my crew members and I really dislike how if you didn't romance some crew members conversations with them just ended.

Just hope they introduce new bi romances, Bioware, please don't retcon any previous romances like Miranda or Kaiden
Agreed.
I have no problems with established characters *coughJOKERcough* but established romances should be left alone.
I too love to romance Joker <3
But not Jacob
...if Jacob was the m/m option I'd laugh and cry at the same time.

This.
There should be a "just friends" dialogue route, not just those three. I would love to have friendship dialogue.

Alright, just checking. I had a discussion about this before and some said that the Tali and Garrus romances were retcons but making Ashley and Kaidan bi would not be retconning. I just wanted to see what you thought. Thanks.
Whoever told you that is just sily. It's a false dichotomy to say that either someone declares their feelings right away, or they can never have them. It doesn't make any sense in a realistic fluid relationship atmosphere. People develop feelings over time, and they may not be comfortable revealing them right away.
I think the Tali romance was handled beautifully, don't you? It was really sweet and cute and above all, believable. I have faith in the writers to handle the same sex romance just as well, no matter who it is.
Ask around, you'd be surprised who believes that.
I agree completely. The only thing I'm worried about is how the writers will handle it (other than that, I don't care).
And also some people will just complain either way.
I don't worry about the writers. I've found all of the romances to be genuine and well written. I don't see any reason that a gay one would be different.
I mean I do appreciate that people don't want it to seem "cheap" or like they're shoehorning it onto an established character, but I just don't forsee it coming across that way. I consider Mass Effect to be the best sci-fi story ever told, and i think the writers are too good to pull a stunt like that. So I'm not worried.

As for Garrus and Tali, it's already dangerous doing it with a human of the opposite sex. S/S would mean a lot of poisonous.. licking and awkward, uncomfortable, itchy grinding O_O
VS has been gone for 3-4 years. They're the most likely.

And good lord this.
Talking to Jack as my dude Shep was painful. She pretty much told me to kick rocks (or F*** OFF!) if I wasn't gonna romance her. <_<

Oh man i agree with that so much. It really bugged me how if you didn't romance Miranda, it just cut off and she said "Well, bye, I don't have time to talk for the entirety of the rest of the game."
I wish there was something like a "platonic romance" where you can hang out with the person, maybe go grab drinks, and get to know them on a deep level like in the romances but not actually flirting with them.

Doesn't Tali make an aborted pass on femshep in Me2?
Yes, it starts off exactly like the f/m romance with the linking suit stuff, then she gets flustered and drops it.
In the LotSB her interest in femShep is confirmed by messages in the terminals aboard his ship.

She never tried it on with any of my femsheps.
Maybe she doesn't think they're pretty.

The explanation seems kinda vague maybe? What exactly sounded wrong, I may get a mountain of sh!t for saying this, but Keidan did seem the type for some reason..Ryzaki wrote...
It didn't pan out because they didn't think it did justice to the characters and it didn't sound right).
Could it be possible it was a bit too contraversial for a game at that time (2007)? Was it done in any game before ME?

Kaidan and Ashely were considered for same-sex romances but the lines from opposite-sex romances didn't fit when copy pasted into same-sex romances and due to time constraints they didn't have time to create new ones along with new cutscenes for same sex romances, hence the idea was dropped.
Didn't they dropped it because of Shepard being "pre-define" and not time issue.

Kaidan wasn't meant to be a homosexual romance. People just saw that Dude Shep (and only Dude Shepard Kaidan has no romance dialogue for a m/m option) was saying some of FemShep's lines (the devs had Meer read the female script in case they wanted to use some of the lines for a romance. It didn't pan out because they didn't think it did justice to the characters and it didn't sound right).
Recording it is one thing, building the code and animations and putting it all into the game is another. All of the dialogue is on the disc. That shows intent.

What do you think "Shepard is pre-defined" was? Nothing more than excuse for lack of male s/s option, one that made zero sense anyway considering FemShep had lesbian relationships and flings in both games. And the source of the information is on this board, one of the devs here said it was dropped due to time constraints.ForumPortal wrote...
