Almost all games do that with their voice-over dialogue. Voice actors and studio time are expensive (sometimes rising to the tune of over $5000 per hour). With such financial issues, if you turn around halfway through the cycle and think, "Darn, I wish we had actor Bob record those lines." You are, most times, SOL. Having both actors record the lines is just simply good artistic and business sense. After all, it's easier to cut away than add.

I just hope that they don't make it so everyone is bisexual like they did with DA2. While i had no major problem with it, having every single one of your possible romances be bisexual is far too much of a coincidence to believe for me.

Nope. BW did a full fledged m/m option in Jade Empire which came out way before ME did.

Making everyone bi is not even physically possible since some of the old LIs don't return as full squad members which obviously means that unless you've already had a romance with them, you ain't gonna have a chance to start one (either gay or straight one).

While I don't mind everyone being bi when there's only about 3-4 LIs (4 is my limit) once there's 9...yeah no. (On the same vein if there's 9 Lis and the only bi option is the female alien whose whole race is bisexual...yeah that's not working for me either).

ok this is how I view this. Its ok with me that they are putting this in, but please dont force it onto the player to regect a homosexual relationship with someone. Frankly I wont touch this with a 10- foot poll. My shep is strait so yeah nuf said on that.

To me they should treat this just like they did the other scenes, if the players seek out the relationship it should be there, if not then no it shouldnt even be apparent that it is even a possibility.

Well I'll certainly give it a try.  Bisexual love interests just mean that I don't have to play femshep as often to see different content.  That's how I've done it in both ME1 and Dragon Age.  Any straight females or bisexuals I romance with my male characters, and any straight males I romance with my female character(s).  Though if I like the romance enough, I may play the other gender to see if it works better.  Zevran was a rather interesting romance option, especially since I first romanced him with my burly bearded dwarven warrior.  That cutscene looked a little awkward, even if the dialogue was rather touching.

Bioware has a long history of same-sex romances and they've never been done for shock value, so I'm sure ME3 will be no exception.

I hope that bioware don't make old characters like kaidan and jacob BI, I mean through two games they've been straight so it would make no sense that they are bi in ME 3 if they have BI or gay options it would better to make James Vega such option.

They've been interested in women throuought two games, we know that for sure. But we do not know whether they are also interested in men or not.

They've already said they will be much more friendship dialogues with the characters. Plus I don't get how can't a bi guy be a bro.

Well, I wouldn't be big on them changing pre-established sexuality, but nothing says you couldn't be bros with them just because they were a same-sex LI. You could still be "bros" with Zevran, Anders, or Fenris even though they were same-sex LI's in Dragon Age. Well..... Anders does hit on you and gets in a huff for a little while if you turn him down, but Fenris or Zevran don't have any problems being friends and Fenris will never hit on you unless you hit on him first.

What loads of dialogue was there with Kaidan to begin with? Him being a m/m option if anything would've given you *more* dialogue. As it is they just remove the chunks that aren't related to the romance. (which may not all be flirty). 

In DA the m/m options had more friendship dialogue than the ME characters did period.

i am very disappointed with BIOWARE's decision to allow same sex romance in ME3. It is very disconcerting considering the fact that ME is filled with Christian allusions. -1 BIOWARE.
