Romance might fall into this category, and in most cases would be a lot less strange than one that features Shep. But if it happens, there's a danger of it turning into some sort of gigglesquee shipping abomination. So only if its tasteful haha.

Jacob has had Miranda's PRIIIIIIZE before. I can see him getting ALL THE TIME he needs with her again. Before the SM I noticed they both gave each other this look..........Yeah something went on there.

Whatever went on between Jacob and Miranda seems to be completely over by ME2, though.

He even says she needed a better man than him, or something to that effect. It sounds like there is some bad blood there, even if they maintain a professional and occasionally friendly relationship.

Or at least with those two 'couples' at least one half of each expressed interest in the other. Kasumi has a crush on Jacob, and in ME1 Kaidan will tell Shep that he thinks Liara is hot. The question is, would Jacob also be interested in Kasumi, and would Liara be into Kaidan?

The rest I see as single, or at least not shacking up with anyone else on the squad.
