lack of a decent epilogue and the reapers weakness being too glaring would ruin this for me
What would ruin ME3?

Shepard has to die at the end. The hero dies in the end is an overused cliche and it's been done quite it a bit in several recent games.

QTE:s. God I hate them. They are a plague. QTE:s are the reason I did not play TheWitcher 2 more than prologue. I dispise them. I want to have a big labor camp for devs implementing QTE:s in games. There they would be served only bread and water, and they would have to design games for damn mobile whatever, that used to be a cell phone.
You aint kidding.I did six runthroughs and the hardest part was aiming that ballista.
Just said no!To QTE's...

The soundtrack being re-used from ME2 the Demos already have evidence of this, I don't want to hear 1 track from ME2, I sisncerely hope that these early demos just didn't have the tracks worked out yet, cause if I'm playing ME3 and hear those tracks I'm just gonna be thinking it's ME2.

Glaring "weak spots" on the Reapers. That glowing main gun the Reaper walkers have looks a bit suspicious in that regard.

- "true ending" via DLC
- multiplayer
- hetero characters suddenly turning bi or ******
- not enough endings, I want at least 2

Straight out ruin? Only one thing: destruction of Earth and, to a lesser degree, complete destruction of Turian, Asari, or Salarian homeworlds.
Things that annoy me that I'd rather not see, but don't kill it for me:
1. Catsuits instead of armor
2. Wielding the Locust or Tempest SMG like they're pistols
3. Virmiresque choices

A Main quest structure like DA2's.
Clunky Inventory.
Lack of planet exploration. Why give us a spaceship and alow us to fly to different planets if we can't explore any of them.
Squad mate issues. Bioware have bene very vague about how the whole entire squadmate thing is going to work however none of us are going to be happy if we are stuck with a bunch of people we don't like at all. You can also put down lack of squad banter/un-intersting squad banter under this topic as well as scenes as poorly written as the VS scene on Horizon, argueably the worst scene in gaming history, I don't want to see somthing like this ever, ever again. Poor resolution to the LI storyline.
Deus Ex plot device to win teh war withe Reapers. Obviously Shepard isn't going to be able to wipe out all the Reapers by himself so there is going to be a plot twist, I just hope it makes sense and does not seem like somthing Bioware pulled out of thin air.
Confusing/clunky controls. With new moves like swat turns/combat rolls and more and more context sensitive controls there is always a danger that Shepard might do somthing that you did not want him to in combat and get himself killed. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has had thier Shepard leap right out of cover and take a rocket to the face in ME2 when you were trying to get him to do somthing else.
A lack of choices. Like most of ME gamers I was dissapointed with lack of choices in Arrival. I thought these ME games were supposed to be about choices.

Too many cutscenes that take the game out of your hands. Too little choice (dialogue in LotSB with interrupts)

Every Romance option suddenly becoming Bi
That sucked in DA2
I agree... that was so forced and in my face, everytime I saw the heart sign I would just frown at the monitor<_<
another thing would be the non-progression of shepard a-la ME2, where he's basically the same from start to finish (give or take a few powers)

A game that ends the second the Reapers are beaten with no epilogue or similar.

Weapon mods and ammo that really don't make a difference.
A heavy weapon that can only be used two or three times during the whole playthrough.

Combat-inappropriate battle attire.
Mainly catsuits and belt-bras. Applying to both male and female.
Including a token male-in-catsuit does not make it better. That's even worse than just females.
Jacob doesn't even have a crotch-plate for crying out loud.
Also, if I have to kill another one of those God-awful Reaper larvae I'm gonna punch someone. =/

Spending 90% of the game recruiting allies and using the remaining 10% to figure out how to mass defeat the reaper invasion.
Sesond!
Or if we have an end boss battle as lame as the reaper we fought in ME2
