Spending 90% of the game recruiting allies and using the remaining 10% to figure out how to mass defeat the reaper invasion.

First that comes to mind.
Also some potential targets for nitpicking:
Cheesy 'badass' lines. "We fight or die, that's the plan!" <_<
Body for EDI [especially if it's done in order for Joker-EDI romance].
All squadmates are romanceable and bisexual.

well It's going to work but I remember that the scene with conrad verner is corrupted in ME:2 (and their might be others that I don't know abouth). ME:3 will probably take those errors from ME:2 and hopefully it stays with that.

I've seen a Merrill, Isabela and  Miranda based pony used as avatars lately also.

You called?

Nah but seriously, Miranda not being a squadmate would bother me something fierce...
Even if she doesn't end up being a bi li I still want her in my crew. :crying:

And even more seriousness... The normandy should have pony collectibles based on all the squadmates (former and current) I mean seriously... who can resist the charms of PonyMiranda =] (aka Mirarity)

Suddenly being an "alliance posterboy" against my will...I want to be able to still hate the alliance, still think they're useless but understand I need them.

right, now for what would ruin it for me, the continuation of being more shooter then rpg,. maybe i'm one of the only ones who liked the inventory system, and the skill based shooting aspect. removing more rpg parts, it felt so constrained in mass effect 2, hell at least in mass effect one even if they didn't have a choice that was exactly what i wanted i had something close to it, in mass effect 2 there was multiple times that the answer i wanted was not on the screen and none of the choices were not even close to what i wanted

basically i'm tired of them alienating the core audience to try and get some of the fps fanboys who need to go back to bashing rocks on their heads because they don't have an iq high enough to understand the idiocy of doing that.

Yeah.  RPG fans are WAY smarter than shooter fans.  Get over yourself.

way to miss the tongue in cheek comment.

on to another thing.  don't force me to play a certain way to keep squad members happy.  In the first mass effect i was maybe 35 percent paragon, and 65 to 75 percent renagade and i was happy.  I tried to do that during the first play through of mass effect 2 and when it came to the jack/miranda or tali/legion thing, i was boned.  i was not happy about it all.  there might have been a ragequit involved.

1) They listen too much to the obnoxious complainers on this forum and others.
2) They /don't/ retcon romances a bit. The logic of 'this person was romanced by men/women in the past so they're automatically totally heterosexual!' makes no sense. I usually get rather annoyed with heteronormative complaints from some, but that is just silly.

OH GOD, THE IRONY! IT HURTS, SO BAD...ARRRRGHHHH!

oops I should've elaborated... I meant them having an endgame fightscene with TIM in aYMIR mech robot thingy...The classic boss battle...where he shoots heavy ammo, and the only time for attack is when he's reloading...and keep repeating the pattern til he dies...

If they change anything we've already been shown. Because quite frankly I am loving everything from the RPG elements to Ash's new look to the improved combat mechanics. They're doing a fantastic job so far which is exactly what I expect from Bioware.

A cheesy plot twist that involves indoctrination of a popular NPC/Squadmember that results in Shepard having to kill that person. This would seriously ruin the series for me.

Naturally Shepard himself getting indoctrinated and killing several squadmembers (alongside your first LI if you cheated on him/her) would be equally bad, if not worse than scenario 1.

Well, first thing that comes to mind is:

I'm a PC player and Mass Effect is primarily a game for consoles. Console ports nowadays are often quite poorly done and if ME3 was ported badly, the game would be ruined for me. ME2's "port" was quite good. It still lacked things like AA, proper mouse sensitivity options (had to edit the config files which was a bit of a pain) but overall it was pretty good and I was pleased.

I'm hoping ME3 will be just as good if not better.

For me it would be poor writing/storytelling, plotholes & retcons, a cheesy way of defeating the reapers, multiplayer and/or co-op, and party members not wearing proper armour/equipment in hostile environments.

Also, I want closure at the end of ME3. If BW end the game with some sort of TBC bull**** I will not be pleased.

My favorite squad mates being relegated to a simple cameo, not being able to have a significant impact on events (*cough DA2 cough*), having BW complete the transformation and the last game in the trilogy to become a shooter rather than the hybrid RPG/shooter that ME2 tried to be.

Pursuit of the "CoD dollars" will be the death of BW as a AAA developer.

Well said. Bioware aren't good at shooters. If they continue down this path, they will crash and burn. Not to mention there is no shortage of shooters to choose from as it is. I can see FPS going the way RTS did. The market will become saturated and people will tire of the genre.

They let the Fox News team write it?
You get to the final part and you get a Kotor 2 moment where your like..... what just happened to all my party, wait whats the backstory here? zomg.
You can headshot a reaper.
You can get crippled if you health gets too low, so you have to play the rest of the game with missing limbs.... fear wheelchair shepard!
A "to be continued" ending.
It was all a dream.
Only the collector edition people can beat the reapers... Im buying the collectors edition but id feel bad for everyone else...

Man, its bioware. I've never known them to ruin a game.
