How is she clingy and needy? O.o
Anyway, I like her. :) She's my canon's Shep's best friend. :D

Her ME1 voice was annoying, ME2 it got a little better. Other than that, haven't really developed any opinions towards her. Parts of her fanbase made me dislike her, though.

Just about all the possible companions are kinda needy (of Shepard at least) in some shape or form. Although, Tali does seem to need bailing out and saving more frequently than any other companion. Lets see, Shepard: saves her life on the Citadel, can provide her with data to complete her pilgrimage, saves her life again on Freedom's Progress, then again on Haestrom, can comfort her when she finds her father dead, and speaks for her at her trial (not to mention a dedicated renegade/paragon can stop her from getting exiled while still protecting her fathers name).

I like Tali.  I hope that she, Garrus, Joker, and Dr. Chakwas are all back for the entirety of ME3.

She'd better be clingy, she's not leaving my squad in ME3.

She is part of the Migrant Fleet and a traitor. Take her away Cerberus!

OP be trolling.

Tali is a character, some like her, some don't. I personally like her a lot, and would rate her my third favourite LI after Ashley and Miri. All the squadmates need Shepard's help at some point. No need to bait her fans with a provocative thread such as this one.

Not to advocate these threads, but you know that was a star wars reference right? lol

Really, I think that she has become a polarizing personality because her character "derailed" in-between games:
tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/CharacterDerailment

In the first game: Sweet little girl, with a lot of energy and potential, taken under the experienced Commander's wing.

In the second game: Mary sue-ish, with a unhealthy obsession with her mentor.

Derailment aside, I think she shows her true colors, with how she talks about the Flotilla. She would happily commit genocide, and never thinks of the rest of the galaxy that need help (the only non-quarian who she shows ANY sympathy for is a volus).

In other words, lacks compassion?

You pretty much nailed all the reasons why I started disliking her in ME2 after joyfully enjoying her company in ME1.

Were this anything other than a troll thread, I'd counter this post. As it stands, I'll just say that I like Tali outside the Normandy, not so much inside it.

I'll leave the decryption process to you all.

My opinion of Tali is pretty much my opinion of Justin Bieber. She's a sweet character and I think she's kind of endearing (to an extent) but her fanboys (or fangirls) make me want to claw my eyes out. oh, and if she gets a larger role in ME3 than Ashley or Miranda at the Talimancers' behest, I will flip out.

I can see how she can be a likeable character, but I think the only reason, really, that there are so many Talimancers out there is that they just love the ego boost that comes from someone liking them from the very beginning (even if it IS a fictional character...)

P.S. I do not find Justin Bieber endearing.

You felt the need to bump the troll, why exactly?...

Oh, and thanks for comparing my tied-for-favourite fictional character to my one of my country's greatest shames. It's much appreciated.

I agree Lynn, although...Talimancer's may be slightly worse than Justin Bieber fans, but at least you can understand why they like her, rather than why ANYONE would like Justin Bieber, Canada's bitter curse at the rest of the world.

ME1- Little sister I never had, but was REALLY hypocritical about the whole geth/quarian crap (your people tried to commit genocide against the geth and now YOU'RE the victims? Own the f*ck up you suited pansies...)

ME2- Obsessed, creepy-ass stalkerish girl with even less personality than a piece of wet cardboard who blatanty throws herself at your lap (thanks to bioware providing fanservice to tali fans)

What the hell d'you think? Of course she's f*cking annoying in ME2. Gimme the better ME1 Tali back and burn the fanservicey ME2 one in hell!!

But the main thing that sets me off are tali fans. Sure, we've got mature, cool, chillaxed ones that actually respect other fanbases, and I'd grab a beer with those dudes anyday, but those guys only account for roughly 5.6% of the entire tali fanbase. But the rest of them are annoying little 12 year olds who have surpassed the irritating-ness level of Justin Bieber fangirls by about 200%.

I find her unwillingness to admit the quarians were wrong in the mourning war annoying as well as her attitude toward Legion despite it not being hostile. Other than that she's sweet and still has room to grow but I do wish she was a tad more independant of Shepard, maybe be A captain of a ship on the migrant fleet or replacing her father as an admiral since ther are alot of them so she won't be under as much pressure.
