Sounds like TK has a twin sister/brother. Want me to bring up the genital joke from ME1? Or do breasts from ME1 not count? I recall a giant pair belonging to a certain Asari who followed that bird/mutant frog around. Both games show off skin. Don't pretend ME1 is some pure, innocent virgin of a game.

Um, I don't. Where did I say I'm anti-boobs? Nowhere, that's where. There's a time and a place for showing off skin and it sure as hell isn't in a vacuum.

If it were a real vacuum, it'd matter. Since it's a game, it doesn't.

Blade Runner had bare breasts as well. If you can't tell the difference between content and context and style, then that's not our problem. There's a difference between boobs and skin-tight outfits being present and gratitious camera shots with it in-your-face via a main character all the time while she's on screen, purposefully posing provocatively and drawing attention to her assets all the time, either directly herself or via camerawork.

Yup. I actually think it's more a question of camerawork since Miranda as a character doesn't really come off as the femme fatale type and I've yet to see her use her looks to her advantage. Or maybe I'm just immune. *shrug*

Wow, opened another topic on this? You really love attention I see.

This is pointless. It will keep going around in circles. People who dislike Ashley's outfit will voice their opinions, people who like it will voice theirs, arguments crop up, mods warn people, Bioware continues work as usual.

If we're walking down that road, might as well decide that human beings are, say, capable of flight and breathing underwater. And the heat of Haestrom's dying sun makes them sparkle. Because everything's better with sparkles! :wizard:

Then that's a design oversight. We haven't seen what other clothing Ash has. If she goes into battle with the same casual outfit, you win a chocolate bar. Will that shut you up?

And what's with the defending ME1? Benezia's breasts were as in your face and subtle as Miranda's butt.

I don't dislike her outfit. I dislike that it's her combat gear.
That's dumb.

And same for Kaidan to have heavy armor since he's a Biotic.
He's the one that should have light armor.

It's just stereotypical man with badass big armor and woman in tight "armor" and show of her boobs in battle.

Bioware can and should do more then that.

If Bioware decided to go that direction, then that's where they're going. But harping about things being "realistic" in a game that breaks its own lore is just dumb.

Wow, nice one. This isn't Soviet Russia, you know. Why have a forum in the first place if we're not allowed to use it to voice our opinions and concerns on it?

Yes... God forbid some of us see Mass Effect as more than just a series of games that we can forget about once we've clocked it and then trade in for the next generic Call of Duty or Assassin's Creed title. God forbid some of us try to get into this universe beyond its basic game-themed scope and see it as something more. God forbid some of us finding ourselves wondering why we care so much about the integrity and consistency of the Mass Effect IP when it seems the people behind don't seem to themselves and are willing to just ****** on their own property if it'll mean a few more hundred-thousand (or even million) sales to a bunch of people that will have forgotten about the entire trilogy and moved on in a few years time, let alone picked up one of the novels.

Well they showed her bare neck. Which is morally wrong. Somehow. <_<

The issue is not morality, or that "Ashley is too hot! ZOMG! Evil! EVIL!!!". Maybe for some it is, though not for me. Again I don't take issue with Bioware making Ashley sexy, I just take issue with the way they are doing it.

No, the issue here is praticality. I'll admit it's better then most of ME2's female outfits, but not that much better.

The thing is it does strike me as sexist (def'n: behavior, conditions, and attitudes that foster stereotypes of social roles based on sex. ) to have all the females in light form fitting armor, yet all the guys are wearing big bulky plated stuff. Yeah I'm sorry, but this is just a bit sexist. True I should probably glad Ashley isn't just a Medic in a Bikini, but I've always assumed Bioware is better then that.

I'd venture Bioware has the talent to have Ashley in some real armor, yet still make her look "hot". Or is armor too much of turn-off for some? It seems pretty petty to me you won't romance Ashley or whatever simply because they don't have skin tight fabric suit for your fancy. Also if you think I'm asking for armor for such selfish desires, I'm not. (My canon Shepard is with Liara.) I'm asking for it on the basis of respecting her established character along with the purposes of preserving praticality and immersion in the series.

Even though I'd rather characters not to wear catsuites, I think you people should chill down a little. This matter is SO minor.
It's like you are going on a crusade or something. This is merely character outfits we are talking about!

Because we might as well set it to repeat. And the appearance of a character is minor when there are bigger things to get your knickers in a twist over. Reminds me a lot of user reviews in movies/games. "I don't like what they've done to my character. It's now ruined and destroyed my childhood. You sold out! 1/10!"

I expect Kaidan to be on Earth in a leotard then. Or in a Spartan-esque outfit.

Actually, Ashley isn't showing her boobs. All I see is face and neck. Zaeed shows more skin than her.

I feel the urge to repeat myself... again...

This is a BW game. Bioware's characters make their games. People become attached to those characters, which is the whole point of crafting them so carefully. Therefore, this is not a minor issue. Not when it flies in the face of who the character used to be. I'm not a big fan of Ash but I can totally understand the reaction of people who are.

How about you give some real arguments instead of waing "Ruined forever" flag?

Nobody here said anything like "Mass Effect 3 will suck for x having that".
