No. Must. continue. to. push. past. 11. pages. I hear Ash is wearing a pink string bikini under that catsuit. How's that for ruining character consistency. I won't be able to sleep tonight knowing a virtual character is ruined. BW, selling out. Again!

How about you stop trolling and actually give some arguments or leave?

Arguments? More? Makes no difference in the end. You guys can continue bemoaning about virtual characters wearing outfits that reveal a tiny bit of skin/chest. Maybe BW will listen if you get this to 100 pages. :o

That thread hits the nail on the head.
With due respect, some scientist or engineer should advice Bioware's artists. I don't know what type of style is make catsuits to fem squadies but I am sure that real isn't. My opinion is that realism and pragmatism must have much more prominence, and leave these stupid stereotypes that only are useful to say "she is hot, ohh yes" in some gamers. It is nauseating, really.

Immersion? Use your imagination.. You bought the game, don't beat yourself up over something that's supposed to be entertainment. Btw you can show skin in space, and I imagine that bodysuit and her biotics helps in countering the air pressure in the lungs.. Might be uncomfortable though, but for vanity..? Then there's radiation, environmental toxins and sh!t not. o_o

Anyway I think it does give a tad of individuality once you look pass all this. Respect for the fearless ladies, bia ch

Games aren't just entertainment, but also an art.
Mass Effect should be good with both and with doing stereotypical outfits that are against already set up characters is failing and they don't even have to.

Also it's really hard to use imagination when in combat. Even though it's easier for Bioware to give Ashely heavy armor and to Kaidan light one.

That outfit Michelle's wearing looks a lot like a certain character who's also wearing an outfit with exposed neck/skin/chest. Can't quite put my finger on who though...

What happened to you man? You used to be cool Mesina. Bring back the Mesina from 'ME3 confirmed features' thread. :crying: And is there a chatrooom? It'd be a lot easier to discuss this in real time.

What's immersion-breaking for you, isn't for others. I could easily make threads and complain about dozens for non-realistic things in Mass Effect that break my immersion, but I learned long ago that you have to look past things sometimes (Like Legion being revived with medi-gel). Ashley is part of the catsuit club now. Deal with it.

The devs are clearly aware of this issue. I wish they would respond the same way Patrick Weekes did about using personal pronouns, of all things. Personal pronouns! Seriously! There was a discussion. People brought up points pro and con, he responded. Consensus was reached. People felt like their opinions matter. Now the silence from the dev side is deafening. Yeah, I choose to count the occasional pooh poohing our opinions as silence.

Yes, I have. He's pointed out the weirdness of seeing Kaidan in heavy plate, for one. Do you dispute that?

No more than I dispute a Soldier using Reave.

Nevermind that my Adept Shepard can wear just as much armor as my Soldier Shepard.

The issue is not morality, or that "Ashley is too hot! ZOMG! Evil! EVIL!!!". Maybe for some it is, though not for me. Again I don't take issue with Bioware making Ashley sexy, I just take issue with the way they are doing it.

No, the issue here is praticality. I'll admit it's better then most of ME2's female outfits, but not that much better.

The thing is it does strike me as sexist (def'n: behavior, conditions, and attitudes that foster stereotypes of social roles based on sex. ) to have all the females in light form fitting armor, yet all the guys are wearing big bulky plated stuff. Yeah I'm sorry, but this is just a bit sexist. True I should probably glad Ashley isn't just a Medic in a Bikini, but I've always assumed Bioware is better then that.

I'd venture Bioware has the talent to have Ashley in some real armor, yet still make her look "hot". Or is armor too much of turn-off for some? It seems pretty petty to me you won't romance Ashley or whatever simply because they don't have skin tight fabric suit for your fancy. Also if you think I'm asking for armor for such selfish desires, I'm not. (My canon Shepard is with Liara.) I'm asking for it on the basis of respecting her established character along with the purposes of preserving praticality and immersion in the series.

1000s times this.
And like I said before, this is an issue with Kaidan too.
He's the one that should have light armor and Ashley with heavy armor.

Legion getting revived is purely game mechanic design and only non-organic squadmate.
We would then need to then have other special way to revive him and since his only one like that, it doesn't really worth wasting resources for adding new thing in game.
Forgivable and it's more humorous then immersion breaking.

Ashley and Kaidan in other hand are not the same thing since Ashley having heavy armor and Kaidan light or medium one does not add or remove anything from gameplay.

Those are valid concerns and I don't even disagree with you. I blame the comic style turn ME2 brought. So basically you're on my side. :P

I don't remember that Shepard can wear heavy armor in ME2.

Why should Kaidan use only pistols when he has SGs, ARs, and SRs within reach? Why should he make himself more subceptible to death by wearing less armor simply because he has biotics. It doesn't make much sense, does it? (At least to me it doesn't) And I am willing to overlook this because it's only a game.

By the way, I personally think Kaidan, as a sentinel, should wear heavy armor. Sentinel is the "tank" class, so it makes sense in that respect that he would also wear heavy armor. The rules of combat from ME1 no longer apply. Sentinels should/can have heavy armor.

Sentinels with assault armor are pretty beastly. It's possible to keep it up indefinitely even under heavy fire. Now if only it had a plunging neckline... :wizard:

It is rather odd though, when a sentinel wears more armour than a soldier.

Because armor doesn't apparently matter anymore. Keep up!
