3 years have passed. 25 years to 28/29 years. She may have become a bit more mature and serious now is not it ?
I also want armor for Ashley, so I'm not really against your will. Rather, your claim to say that Ashley is " like that and not otherwise ", that troubles me. What I read everywhere.
First of all you can talk to Ashley about aliens and she doesn't hate them, just doesn't trust Garrus and Wrex while not minding Tali and no longer supsicious of Liara when Benezia is dead( and actually tells Shepard to go talk with her about it).
Ashley is nor ever was racist.
She just happen to no trust favorite character in ME1.
Also on Horizon she says "I'm no fan of aliens, but what Cerberus is doing is extreme".

Actually, I find it very aptly sums up this aspect of her character.
There is more to her than this, obviously, but that is not relevent here.
"Solid" armour != "heavy" armour.
The asari commando's wear clothes, not armour at all.

Not convinced, lol. Mainly because I'm an observer and I've seen much stronger arguments for and against this thing here and I'm basically useless.
Check Extra Credits for that.
I'm not here to argue about that. But, err, art is subjective, yes..? You can see it in a good or bad way, or you can dismiss it. Maybe fell slightly into gaming conventions, but not everything has to be what you want it to or not to be. Anyway immersion's not the only way to enjoy a game. This is the work of minds, created using tools the product of minds and for minds.
True, but that still doesn't change that what Bioware is doing is bad thing. It's arleady been said that Ashley prefers heavy armor while Kaidan is Biotic and that was established too that they get tired fast.
It doesn't brake the game by any means but it's still inconsistent.
Inconsistency=bad
So open up your minds.. Can this be considered trolling btw? I'm making an argument,
right..?
When did I call you a troll?
Oops, sorry, thought it sounded a bit accusing. Nothing in there, really. Just thought it might be an interesting topic to get into, and I'm pretty sure there's a few good points back there, and one says that this discussion is useless and would never gain enough support to change bioware mind if they are really going with the Ashley catsuit(which I think not).
Ultimately, I forgot what I was going to say cos it's really slow on my phone and this touches on some deeper issues which require attacking to reach a consensus between all you brain nuts.

How this will eventualy change the product, well, that is totaly up to the owners. So I won't complain if it doesn't turn out the way I prefered.
Now some may say that we shouldn't bother to express opinions about the coming game that they think are wrong. Often using a condensending tone, insults and generalisations. I don't see the point in that realy.

Ashley then may become less suspicious of the aliens in M3. So a retcon because of one line in the " first " episode ? Of course not. Evolution. Especially since all will have to unite against the reapers. She is 29 now.

Lmfaooooo! This **** again? The game is set in space....there goes your realism. But hey, let's ignore that. Let's make the game realistic. You have to eat and ****** and sleep or you pass out. Let's take it to another level....a well placed shot kills you and you can't play the game again, ever. That's reality. Reality is boring and overrated.
Maybe Ashley just doesn't want to wear Heavy Armor anymore, she changed her mind and now she wants to look good while shooting things. Humans change their minds and tastes all the time....and she is supposed to be a human, right?
And about high heels....I've been seeing lots of people saying women can't run in them and stuff like that. That is complete bull****. I've seen lots of women running in high heels. Hell, I have a friend who's a transvestite and he can run and dance in high heels with no problem. Lady Gaga did her whole tour in high heels. So yeah, you guys just need to get out more.
This is too easy

Yeah, asking for actual combat armor is like asking for life simulator.

I don't remember they getting shot and shooting back while having assault rifle. And she's a marine. Why would she choose to have high heels in combat?!

There's also the possibility that some of us just don't give a damn. Did Miranda's outfit bother me a little bit in ME2? Yeah. Did the spacebreathers bother me? Yeah. Do I wish Ashely was wearing heavy armor? Yeah.
Deal-breaking, though? No. ME2 was awesome on so many levels that such a minor thing wasn't close to being a problem for me, and I'm sure ME3 will continue that trend. Ashely's appearance is but a small fraction of the reason I loved her character before; as long as she's the strong, indepedent, capable woman she was before, she can wear just about anything she wants and still kick ass.
Obviously you care enough to be posting in a thread about it... :innocent:

But seriously, you can't compare those mofos to the heels Miranda and supposedly Ashley wears
They have the kind of high heels pro dances would wear.
I know, I'm just messing with you. But then again, I'm a woman who hates wearing heels. Just because you *can* run in them doesn't mean you'd want to do so on a regular basis.

You don't know what evolution really means.
Also why would she change her opinon on aliens?
She doesn't work with them after Shepard's death until becoming a Spectre( if she become one).
Also being 29 says nothing since she was 27 in previous game. She was mature then too.

These days, if you want a truly deep and immersing experience with many layers of psychological, emotional and intellectual complexity, novels still are the way to go. (And NOT novels based on games that were made with lots of sexiness and explosions.)
Will I still buy ME3? Of course! I was hooked by ME1 too much to not see firsthand how the story ends. But I do feel insulted by the punch-you-in-the-face marketing strategies. And by the fact that BW decided not to be consistent with themselves. If they would have had everyone wearing stupid outfits and looking sexy at all times and being all badass in ME1 as well, there would be no problems. But for me it's the fact that they started off with something more classy and realistic (I said MORE realistic, which is not the same thing as saying simply REALISTIC) and THEN later decided to go the generic Hollywood route with their designs.

And who the hell is complaining about it?
Also it was more like 25 minutes and didn't people complained about Benezia?

Useless to answer at your first thought.
Now, You do not seem to understand that it may be a direction, not necessarily the direction. Nobody knows what will change her mind. But do you really think that this is not ashley if she became less suspicious, it's retcon ? Do not pretend to know her if you say me yes.
And you don't seem to understand the relevance of the subject in my answer. It is not because they say one thing one day, you can not change your mind, change on the issue or another, especially when the years pass. this is stupid. Really stupid. in your life, How many times have you changed your mind ?
And no, Ashley has 25 years in M1. 27 years was a mistake corrected. http://masseffect.wi...Ashley_Williams
And between 25 and 29 years, yes, yes there is a difference as a difference between 17 and 21. Definitely, I moved on a lot of things.
Ashley was a young soldier, with her ideals, her enthusiasm due to her youth.

It still doesn't change the fact that she said on Horizon "I'm not fan of aliens, but what Cerberus does is extreme".
Also ME1 starts in 2183 while ME3 will start in 2186.
Then it would 3 years difference not 4, but still Horizon was 1 year before ME3 starts, so that's 1 year for her to change, even though she wasn't in past 2.
Also Ashley was always mature.
