For Kaidan? Something like Jacob can work. Jacob is also Sentinel( at least in ME Galaxy).

Respectfully, I disagree.  Jacob's outfit was far too lightly armoured and gave him ridiculously-proportioned hips and waist.  I think Kaidan's new armour looks awesome and will do just fine.

I agree, although less because Jacob's outfit was too lightly armoured (it just looked kinda silly in general to me) and more that Kaidan's new outfit looks awesome and I see no reason why he shouldn't be able to wear it.

Biotics aren't magic afterall, there is no in universe rule that heavy armor negates their effect or makes them harder to use. I quite like the idea that a Sentinel could wear light or heavy and just have a slightly different set of combat tactics to suit. I really hope they give Kaidan tech armor because I'd love to see him 'specced' as a tank this time around just to mess with peoples heads.

Now I want a Kaidan with heavy armor, tech armor and the barrier skill. Invincible!

*sigh*

Codex...
The Alliance military, on the other hand, welcomes biotics with open arms and provides them with massive enlistment incentives. They are now frequently found in the front lines of many ground-based combat units. Because of the massive physical effort required to biologically generate dark energy, biotic soldiers are assigned a large daily calorie ration (4,500 calories per day, compared with the standard soldier's allotment of 3,000) and provided with energy drinks to help them maintain their blood sugar and electrolyte levels. The electrical fields in their bodies mean they are also prone to small static discharges when they touch metal.

They get tired easy.

Yeah there's a difference between constructive criticism and ****in and moanin for a charachter design that hasn't been 100% disclosed...and miranda has armor now, paid armor but armor none the less.

Considering how other DLC like the Mattock has ended up in ME3 I wouldn't be surprised if they included that in with ME3. Would seem an excellent way of increasing the amount of customisability for squadmates with minimum development time required.

Edit: @Mesina: That really doesn't mean he can't wear heavier armor. Especially when you stop and consider the fact this is a video game and isn't required to take that sort of detail into account for something like this.

By all accounts Kaidan should have died that time I left the game idling on a UNC in ME1. He wasn't getting any of that stuff then! :P Easy retcon: Alliance scientists/techs discover a way to build in systems to armor that allow a Biotic to go on longer, harder, better, stronger, faster. Etc. YAAAY

I'm looking forward to the haters twisting Casey's tweet into a defensive lie of some sort or something.

Casey Hudson tweeted about this whole thing, and proved you wrong. SO SHUT THE **** UP DOUCHE!
If you're not too busy harassing the wrong BW employees and being a whiny **** on the boards go to his twitter account - https://twitter.com/...yDHudson:happy:

PS: ****** off!

First thing first, I dont want to sound rude or something. Some people might find these words provoking but thats not my intention. I just want to point out something, thats after the story the most important aspect of game for me. Keep it civilised everyone.

Yes, I am gonna talk about squadmate outfits, namely Ashleys one.

I recently wrote to Christina Norman on twitter who(despite being lead gameplay designer) seems to know about squadmate appearance everything this:

Babli04
@truffle So despite her exposed skin she will wear helmet
when in space and not breather mask? What about realism? Was it ditched
completely?

And her answer was this:
truffle
@Babli04 Shepard and crew generally dont go into space

truffle
@Babli04 I mean obviously they travel through space, but they dont spacewalk

And before she said this:

truffle
Christina Norman
I am less impressed by
arguments about how they must where this, or must where that, I respect
the artistic vision of our artists

So, obviously its not up to her to change these things, I know. But she was nice enough to respond to me. Now to the point of this thread,

I never made secret of my preference of ME 1 before ME 2. First ME established lore and everything. Everyone who was going to fight was wearing armor and when in space and hazardous enviroments, also helmets. It made sense, it was realistic and it was awesome. It really felt like something that could happen in future (you know how I mean it, dont nitpick on this one).

But then Mass Effect 2 came and all of this was gone. Squadmates wear high heels, impractical outfits that couldnt protect them in fight, they had exposed skin in space and hazardous enviroments and so on, so on. In the end, only some squadmates had helmets and full armor and some breather masks and...definitely not armor. It was immersion-breaking for me. I ended up using only Garrus and Tali because of this. In the end, it didnt have that great sci-fi feeling of ME 1 and it made me like the game far...far less.

And why was that? Why that change? Yes, new artistic vision. Same argument was used when everyone was asking why we cant remove helmet from DLC armors. Because of artistic vision.

And now is Ashley wearing outfit with exposed skin and from answer of Christina Norman and some of Casey Hudsons on his twitter, it seems that she will wear also breather mask.

This is deal-breaker for me, Bioware. But there is one simple solution, make two types of outfit for every squadmate. One practical and realistic and one of these...skin exposing ones. And give player the choice to attached either helmet or breather mask. RPGs are about choices right? It would make for a much better game for everyone.

Just got some pretty good intel that the catsuit is the only outfit Ashley will wear. This tweet was likely just to tone down the hostility.

You celebrate that the flames will die down a bit and profess your dislike for those complaining about the issue and then throw petrol onto the fire? Counterproductive much?

On the contrary, the people who support her new look are the true Ashley fans. The people who want to demand that a woman is only allowed to wear what they decide are just sexist trolls.

You really dislike the hair that much? Blimey. Well not getting into the debate because I'm sure you have had it a thousand times already and have set your mind against it, but if it bothers you THAT much just wear the helemt. All the time. =]

Oh by all means, since you finally decided to ditch your childish irrational hostility, you should no longer be confronted about it.

Not.

You might want to ask that question in the new Ash and armor confirmed thread Phaedon. It'll get more responses. :wizard:

I thank to everyone who was able to be mature in their response, even if you disagreed with me but you responded without insults.

About "harassment" comments...I asked Christina Norman because she was the only one talking about it. I also wrote to Casey on twitter but he didnt respond so I created this thread...to got his attention. And as you can see...
