Ok, I just came up with an idea. We all know that Garrus, Tali, Liara, Ash/Kaiden and James Vega is allready confirmed as team members, but what if we could choose the rest of our team, filling out the remaining 3-5 spots, and in that case, who would you had picked to go with you?

If not a new one than Miranda would fit but I'd rather see Legion or Mordin, but they're already confirmed temp., so I guess I'd go with Zaeed.

Liara and Garrus are my favorite squaddies. Aside from them I'd like Legion as a perm squadmember.

That's about all the people I need. As for ME3 content I'd love to go trough an incredibly tough mission with both Wrex and Grunt, who both love a tough fight, as temp squadmembers. Wrex/Grunt banter would be awesome, especially if Wrex takes some sort of teacher role upon himself to teach Grunt the ways of the Krogan.

But they've said team members won't work the same way in ME3 as in 1 and 2, probably meaning we aren't guaranteed to have any team member from when we've recruited them until the end of the game. I expect that the team composition will be more fluid and who's in it may depend on our decisions more than in the earlier games.

Aria (most interesting NPC in ME2)
Grunt (gotta be a Krogan in there somewhere)
Male Bartarian (would be interesting edition, especially for my Mindoir survivor, add depth to Bartarian story, especially after The Arrival)
Female Turian (because we haven't seen one... we will see a female Krogan, Salarian females are unlikely to join team, should see one on Salarian homeworld - female Turian is the best choice).

grunt and legion make way too much sense to be on shepards ground team. a purebred krogan, and legions awesomeness arent really surpased by anyone else ive ran across. i dont really care if either are in ME3 as squadmates or not, but really, whats the point in having grunt and legion exist in the universe, and not have them laying waste along with shepard?

My Garrus and Tali are currently both dead. Working on a new playthrough to save Tali for ME3, (never liked Garrus though so he's gotta go), but if I don't find time to finish it before ME3, I'll have a VERY SMALL pool of squad members to choose from. But anyway, here's my list if everyone but Garrus survives.

honestly I would have a hard time deciding, I think each of the characters from ME2 added to the team, as a whole.  The only one that I would not take is Jacob, I felt he was the least beneficial.  I heard they upgraded the team AI, so that really helps with Miranda.  But if I had to choose from the ME2 squad, leaving out Liara, VS and Vega (because I agree with those, other than Vega, not sure about him yet).

I would certainly add Tali for her tech abilities and because shes just so darn adorable as a LI, and possibly Thane if hes still alive.

I'm not sure about Jack, mainly because she is such a loner, not really a team player. Although she is good to have around in a fight and she was really interesting.

Miranda is good for her squad bonuses, and the obvious physical attributes

This is a hard question to answer, really makes you think.
