I believe I speak for all of us when I say.... we get it.... we understand that you guy believe that most [presumably new] players will be perfectly happy with a 2-8min ME: Genesis style sequence that will bring everybody basically up to speed with a short story-recap while creating a basic save-game file.

But for every new player I can guarantee you that EVERYBODY else will be dissatisfied with only having a few basic options at best and having to sit through a ten minute un-skippable video every time.

Please find it in your hearts to think of the people who have supported you all this time who know the series like the back of our hands and are perfectly capable of setting our own flags manually (more advanced options) as you could on a pc.

It should be relatively straight forward as an (advanced option) alternative in the character creation/new character screen (no more than 50 options) and it would allow all players old and new to experiment and it would greatly enhance replay value. Also it would allow old players such as myself to migrate console without loosing a ton of variables.

[Everything from the consort/trinket, conrad, chairman burns, shi'ala/feros, to thinks like garrus pushed to c-sec/spectre, to squadmate status, to major things such as the fate of the council, etc.]

You do realise you are asking for them to provide you with a 1000+ point questionaire to fill out for starting a new game?
Give it a month or 2 after release, and Gibbed (and associated forumites) will probably come out with a save game editor that will cover these points, and will work on both console and xbox save games.

First of all I have used gibbed extensively but I'm looking to get rid of my xbox. We don't know if gibbed saves are going to be corrupted or not. Secondly 20-50 options would be more than fair and only merely as an alternative for more advanced users looking to migrate console or not have to replay 2 games (not even possible on the ps3) to create a desired combination of variables.

There's cheap and there's no ME1 port, which is it?

No, more like for people who are sick of redoing ME1 for the 30th time. i cant stand playing ME1 anymore.

Yeah.. save editor would be nice. ME and ME2 ain't so short that it would be easy to make another save file that you could import.

This is about convenience. As much as I like my ME2 runs to have data imported into them from ME1, I usually just want to jump right into the second part of the trilogy without playing the first. Gets old, ya know? There is no guarantee that using an external save editor will not corrupt the save for import to ME3.

This is another one of those "why not" basics. Like the ability to fully rotate my Shepard on the character creator. Or the ability to tweak Shepard's face anytime I want.

*Yawns* Ask an modmaker for it. Like I explained before, Gibbed's edits the same values that Bioware uses themselves. So next.

It's not going to happen, at least not as an official plug-in. If you're that bothered, wait for a third-party mod.

You can count the number of user made ps3 savegame mods on less than one hand and for good reason. It's a total mind-[censored].

*Shrugs* Post a request in the mod section. I am pretty sure at some point someone will contact you about your request.
Edit: as for the minor stuff, that's the reward for actually having played the other games. If you're stupid enough to throw away your saves, that's not BW's problem, nor the problem of the other players.

The likelyhood of getting a ps3 mod is a good as nil. I have perfectly good ME1-ME2 saves on Xbox that I can't use and can't replicate on ps3.

*facepalm* Okay.... so ... *facepalms again*
Also, PS3 saves are locked. But why should PC- and Xbox-players pay for an save editor for PS3? Those who got ME2 for PS3 got a lot of extra stuff for free, as a compensation.

I'm sure there are a ton of Xbox users who would love this functionality too without use of external modifications. Which correct me if i'm wrong which is why they exist in the first place.

This is why they should be appealing to the fans they already have instead of trying to get new people. I swear if I have to hear that Mass Effect 3 is a "great place to start." one more time....
