First I'll apologize if a thread has already been started about this
I guess what concerns me more than specualting on indoctrinated squadmates or romances, is the armor that Shep will be able to use.
I really liked the armor designs of the in-game armor pieces that Shep could wear but the problem is that the very best armor wasn't even in-game (by in-game I'm referring to armor that comes with the game and is not purchased outside of the game as a DLC), it was a DLC, I'm talking about the Kestrel Armor, no other armor even comes close to the bonuses you get from that armor, most in-game armor you get one bonus per piece of armor, with the Kestrel you get three bonuses per piece, it makes the in-game armor pretty much useless, but the problem with it is that it's unisex, meaning my FShep looks just like my MShep, so I was wondering if it would be possible to get better armor bonuses (like the Kestrel) but yet maintain the gender defined looks (like the in-game ).
I would also like to see class specific armor designs, I really don't want my infiltrator wearing the same armor as my soldier but I might want the same bonuses or close to the same, I really didn't see any difference in designs between light/med/heavy armor, basically it all looked like heavy armor or at least Medium armor.
Maybe I'm the only one that is concerned about the look and functionality of the armor that Shep wears, its bad enough that the armor doesn't really protect the wearer, the only thing about the armor is the little bit of bonus you get ,so why are the bonuses so insignificant, I'm not asking for uber-powerful armor or anything but at least make the armor significant and design specific to the class.

The armor system can be improved upon so much its not even funny. Makes you wonder why they haven't considered class specific armor. 4 or 5 sets with noticeable stats for each class that players can mix and match with the addition of armor mods means no complaints anymore.

class specific armor would go back to ME1 with light, medium, and heavy. I play soldier and vanguard mostly, so medium/heavy for me. However in ME2 it balances it out making it fair for other classes, to be able to mix and match armor pieces to fit their play style.
My Male Shep looks completely different than my Fem Shep when they are in their armor.

It's not just L, M or H classes, but specific designs that would fit the look of Vanguards, Sentinels and the rest.

I didn't play ME1 so I can't really comment on the armor from that game, but I want my infiltrator to look like an infiltrator, my soldier always looked like a soldier. Its not really the designs that bother me as much as the little insignificant bonuses, I mean getting a 5% health bonus or less doesn't make that piece look that great, but the problem is that if you want some other bonus you might have to take a piece of armor that doesn't even look like the class your playing, like the piece may look to bulky for an infiltrator but have the bonus you want (like bonus to shields or something), I think that all armor should adapt to the class your playing regardless of what bonus you want and the bonuses should be significant, I wasn't impressed with any of the armor bonuses.
And if a type of armor is going to be available as a DLC it should be designed to fit with each class, my infiltrator looks like a soldier or vanguard when wearing the Kestrel armor, kind of hard to be stealthy with heavy armor, why couldn't their be kestrel armor designed for an infiltrator or an adept or engineer.

Yeah it really bothered me in me2 that i couldn't wear light armor for my infiltrator shepard. If the devs gave us some way to remove shoulder pads for the armor, even that would be nice. Hopefully they implement light, medium and heavy armor again for me3.

I entirely agree with the armor recommendation
Having played through mass effect1/2 multiple times with different classes. I would really implore Bioware to implement HEAVY weapon/armor visual/stat customization and inventory menu where these items can be looked at from multiple angles and have extensive codex backgrounds on all items. One of my biggest qualms with the game was how generic all the items and armor seemed.
Also i think each race should have more of their own specialty equipment (it always bugged me that intergalactic alien races would all have universally accepted forms of technology without their own personal tastes or custumizations)

Yea I agree about the species specific equipment, everyone seemed to have exactly the same things, no specific weapon (other than Krogan shotgun) and armor, although the look was a bit different and having species specific casual wear would be a really nice bonus as well.
