What if I don't care about the armor at all? What if I'm unhappy because I thought her face looked different?

Ash = ash.

Simple.

@Brendon Holmes, If this is true and Squadmates will be appropriately attired in combat (I.e. Armour and helmet) then you and the dev team have my sincere thanks. It really did bug me about ME:2. Maybe it shouldn't have, but it really did.

Oh sure, it's really just that easy. She looks totally different but she's the same person because they told us that we should learn to embrace change. Screw that.

She looks exactly the same. Does a change of haircut really make it that hard for you to see? :blink:

I know for myself, I'm far more likely to pay attention to thoughtful, civil discussion than to... alternatives. :happy:

Hmm. Was it an insightful, thoughtful post that led to the Awesome Button?

Can you really blame people after ME2? Yes. Complainers like me jumped the gun. But we merely expressed concerns over something. I am personally happy to be proven wrong.

I think her face looks different. I could be wrong, but from what I've seen this is what I'm thinking.

It's not like there was one thread and everyone talked it over civilly. There were multiple threads and people were insulting each other, insulting mods (who have nothing to do in the development of games), insulting the people at Bioware, threatening to cancel their preorders, calling EA the devil, and spamming threads that had absolutely nothing to do with Ashley to hell and back again.

So yes, I blame people for jumping the gun;)

Given the current track record, I know I'm assuming the worst from the get-go. No point in setting myself up for disappointment.

 Wrong team, wrong game series.

@the_one_54321

People can be pessimistic, that doesn't mean thye have a right to insult others.

Oh, that old chestnut. How many Biowares are there? Oh yeah, one.

With one team doing DA, another doing ME and another working on SW:TOR

Just like Ubisoft had one team working on Prince of Persia and another working on Assassins Creed

There's a difference between calmly talking to others in a single thread, heck maybe even creating a petition or a poll and messaging them to devs, and the stuff the people of these forums have actually been doing. At the least admit that what the complainers did was wrong socially and intellectually, perhaps even apologize to the devs for the rather insulting things that have been said rather than excuse them by saying they were doing the right thing.

Change our stance? Is there an assumption that anyone's mind was actually changed? Are you sure that wasn't just a confirmation of something that was already happening? :happy:

There we have it folks. Confirmation of armour customisation :lol:

In all seriousness, I don't think Bioware are the sort of company that indulges in knee-jerk reactions in response to requests on a forum that, after all, represents only a tiny minority of their future customers.

I'm sure more armour types were planned all along. The lack of customisation certainly got a lot of attention in critical reviews and fan response from ME2, and we know BW likes to examine criticism and improve on it.

Some of the postes did that. Not all of "the complainers."

And in this instance, it wasn't even about armor or no armor for me, so I'm still not satisfied.

Does this mean armour customisation?

I think it'll mean a larger pool of outfits and/or separate on-board and "away" gear, not ME1 style customization. Because you either need to have a minimal amount of body types (ME1, DAO) or a bazillion different versions to have that level of cosmetic choice.

It wasn't meant to you specifically, thus why I never included you in my reply. I simply martyred your post rather than quoting every post by self satisfied complainers. It wasn't meant as an attack against you in any way.

I wasn't much bothered by Ashley's outfit (It isn't a catsuit!) but I like the prospect of more outfits all the same.

Well after playing ME2 with Miranda in a cat suit, i think i could handle Ashley in one through ME3. But her armor better be white/pink lol, wont be the same Ashley if its blue this time. Plus my favorite color is blue so thats what my Shepard will be sporting is blue color armor :D

Completely expected. Why would anyone ever wear a full suit of body armor casually? The whole Reaper attack wasn't exactly expected at the time Ashley was wearing the catsuit.
