Does anyone know of a list that describes the various areas? den204d isn't very helpful, and I'm taking notes but a complied list would be nice.

The OC resources are in Program Files > Dragon Age > Modules > Single Player > Data.
You can use the erf editor to open designerareas.erf, which contains one .are file for each area.
