I'm tired of some of these Aria fans, making her seem larger than life.  Some of these Aria fans make it seem like she can kill the reapers.  I believe Aria is an exceptionally strong biotic, more so than the average.  But when it comes to a Justicar, or a daughter of a Justicar, or even a daughter of a Matriarch, I don't think Aria stands a chance.

Also, they make it a point to show that Shepard should bow down and kiss the feet of Aria.  The disrespect she shows Shepard and he just sits there and takes it disgusts me.

I'm not saying everyone in the ME universe has to fear Shepard or respect him, but if Shepard and Aria were to get into a fight-- two may enter, one may leave-- I believe it's Shepard thats walking out.

Don't get me wrong, I like Aria.  I just don't see her as being this bad ass everyone makes her out to be.

I think Aria's a badass. But so is Shepard.

You will see that with everyone, though. Part of it is the Asari are the Elves of ME. Long-lived and so on, so much of the same arguments hold. 'But they live so long, they have to be far more experienced than any human!' -- forgetting that there's a plateau to learning in real life, and unless they're Canon Sue-ified, they'd have a similar plateau. And so on.

There were 'Wrex could kick Shepard's arse' folks in ME1, too.

I took more as that Shepard was just humouring Aria. There was nothing to be gained by getting her against you and more to be had by keeping a cooperative rapport. She basically runs Omega and could make life more difficult than it need be for Shep.

I think the fascination stims from people believing she's the Asari Wex talked about battling in the first game.

I think Aria is largely misunderstood by people.

IMO her reaction to Shepard's arrival on Omega is one of fear, pure and simple. If Shepard presented no threat then she wouldn't bother even meeting him, let alone going to such lengths to try to intimidate him.

Aria is the queen of a bunch of low life scum with no training and very little money. Just look at her "palace" - it's hardly the Presidium. Shepard is more than a match for her, and she knows it.

Aria lets you know that she runs Omega. That's all. She doesn't insult Shepard. She is simply never in awe.

Players need thicker skin.

Aria seemed like a spoiled child to me. "Don't **** with Aria" and then that stupid smile as if she said something clever.

He's not really talking about Aria's actions in game, but the near-worship of her you see in a few places. :)

So this is a thread complaining about fan's reactions to a character? I don't think this is going to last long. Go ask a Talimancer who would win between Tali and Shep. Fans are allowed to love their favorite characters and to discuss that love in the appropriate threads.

That's...worse. Why do you care what other fans think? Obviously, fan ****** is annoying as hell, but their perception of Aria has nothing to do with you.

Same could be said for you.  You took the time out to go to this thread, read it, make a judgement, and leave a comment.

Thanks for caring what I think and following what two others said instead of drawing your own conclusion.

What does this have to do with Mass Effect 3? Aria's character is written as she's written, it's nice that you disagree with that, but there is a characters forum already.

"OMG! You're wrong for liking Aria and I'm right! Now I'm gonna make a pointless thread here rather than make a pointless thread in the character section where it belongs!"

As sad as that is, this basically defines this thread where it is now and where it is going. Now cue the lock!

Nobody said liking Aria is wrong or right, I even stated that I like Aria. People must fail to read, and come up with a reason why Aria is soo bad ass.

Of course Shepard would win. He kills Reapers for crying out loud -- but I don't think thats the point in all the ''Aria = badass'' - talk.

1. Garrus & Aria once fought to a standstill. It was declared a tie. The event is called The Big Bang.
2. Aria's daughter Liselle was born through immaculate conception. Because Aria is god.
3. Aria doesn't sleep. She waits.
4. The Reapers will ignore Omega because you don't **** with Aria.

While this thread may be in the wrong place, I'm amused a few people are annoyed or what have you about someone having an opinion of an opinion.

Sure, SHepard could've killed her and her guards because she thinks she's badass (which she is). But what would he gain by doing so? Aria is far to useful to kill or even ****** off.

Shepard has no relations with Aria and in ME:3 he's recruiting nations unless Aria has pivoted herself as spokesmen for all the pirates and the mercenaries factions. She will get a cameo at best.

Do us a favor: go to a mod and ask them to either close or relocate this thread before people start tearing up posts like this one and exposing the foolishness within.

Don't even bother replying to this post, which I know you want to judging by how you've been reacting in this thread, because I won't be returning. :bandit:

Aria is smarter than she looks. All people with power know the value of strong allies, I think Aria can use Shepard and Shepard can use Aria. I value her.

I quite like this explanation. Makes me feel a little better about the fact that they forced me to lick the soles of her shoes when I meet her.
