Aria lets you know that she runs Omega. That's all. She doesn't insult Shepard. She is simply never in awe.

Players need thicker skin.

This.

Also it would be incredibly stupid for Shepard to react with violence everytime someone doesn't show him respect. He is a Spectre, not some back alley thug. He benefits by having Aria cooperate with him and he has nothing to gain by fighting some sort of street war with Aria and her men in Omega. Besides whatever danger that would also put him in, it would be a massive distraction from his main goal of stopping the Collectors.

So I'm thankful that 'shoot Aria' wasn't on the dialogue wheel. A Spectre sometimes has to use his brain instead of his fists.

Aria is smarter than she looks. All people with power know the value of strong allies, I think Aria can use Shepard and Shepard can use Aria. I value her.

In what way? She could help Shepard to obtain something but what else can she do? She has no fleet!

I agree, about not being able to shoot Aria.  However, why do we get the option to shoot Conrad or knee him?  He's just a clueless guy, doesn't mean any harm.

Aria is awesome kthanxbai.

Seriously though, every character has fans like this. I can sort of understand it with major characters, but the ones that seem to receive the most fan <3s tend to be minor characters. If you want to see weird check out the people who think the Shiala knows how to win the war, possesses the cure for indoctrination, and is Shepard's one true love.

from the timeline website: http://masseffect.wi...m/wiki/Timeline

Aria was hired as a dancer in 1880. So we can assume she was a maiden then, the Matron fase starts at age 350 in this age asari settle and start raising children assuming her daughter Liselle was around 100-150. You could ges she's certainly between 350-700 (700 is a matriach) and more roughly between 450-500

Aria acts badass, but what she is truly capable of remains to be seen.

I took more as that Shepard was just humouring Aria. There was nothing to be gained by getting her against you and more to be had by keeping a cooperative rapport. She basically runs Omega and could make life more difficult than it need be for Shep.

^This. Shepard wasn't seriously scared of or intimidated by Aria. To me the start of Omega and meeting Aria, after listening to her bravado I thought: 'Yeah whatever you say. I can handle you but I've got more important things right now'

Aria acts badass, but what she is truly capable of remains to be seen.

The word you're looking for is 'bravado'

I wouldn't mind seeing her in action in ME3, but I see her more as just like a cool potential ally/enemy and not as a major force against the reapers

I completely agree.  Too many players seem to be suffering from acute alpha male syndrome.  It's perfectly fine for Shepard to go somewhere and not be fawned over.  It can create dramatic tension or serve any other number of story purposes.

I think the Illusive Man hate might stem from the same source.  Some players can't handle their avatar being played for a fool.

... Out of curiosity is Omega even a confirmed location? ME:3 will have you both visit the asari homeworld and illium. Those are 2 asari worlds.

Yes, this.

I'm hoping there is an option to kill her in ME3.

Preferably by a male Krogan.

If we're talking about what she can help with in regards to the Reaper invasion, she can provide some logistics support with her network of smugglers and supplies, and her army of thugs make for passable infantry.

Yeah, that Aria. Being alive? What an unapologetic ****.

Aria is one of my favorite characters, I will NOT let Wrex kill her. Although I don't want him dead too....

Hopefully my Renegade scores will be high enough. ^_^

I want to team up with Kai Leng and take her down. Right before we end her life I'll tell her how I killed Wrex. How I took him out with one bunch and then shot him dead like a feral varren before dumping his body in the swamp. Then Kai Leng will let it slip that it was HE who cut her daughter's throat.

Queen of Omega my ass. She's just another petty gangster.

I find it quite ironic how 'we' are suddenly complaining about the relatively small fanbase of a supporting character when we've still got the Talimancers...

I don't know... I found a comic somewhere online with her in it and she seemed pretty powerful.

Oooh, I actually found it. It's 8 pages, here's the link:

Actually it has more to do with not even being given the option to roleplay Shepard as it fits with the rest of the game. Throughout the rest of the game my Shepard is an "alpha male", he doesn't take crap from anyone and if anyone tries to one-up him he snaps them back without question. When I couldn't tell Aria to drop dead that was as disappointing as when I couldn't tell the same to TIM. Although in the end I could tell TIM to basically drop dead and that felt good.

"Alpha male" Shepards have just as much right to roleplay as it fits their character as the "respectful" Shepard does.
