After seeing all of the new images for Mass Effect 3, I noticed something.  There have been two different versions of Shepard's N7 Armor being shown.  Is this merely an artistic difference between images or could both armors be available in game?  I hope for the latter since the box art version looks much better.  I have included both images below to demonstrate my point.  For those of you who cannot see the differences, in the box art image the shoulders pads are angled, so is the upper part of the chest pad, and there is now a belt that resembles the shield harness for ME2.  Anyways, I'd love to hear your opinions on this topic.

Yeah,I'd like them both to be available,but I think it's just art design. I hope I'm wrong,though.

The first one is the ME2 armor simply being used as a placeholder.

Hopefully there will be a lot more armor customization. The mix and match mechanics were nice, and it would be even better if they expanded on that. Armor mods would be nice too.

As greedy as it sounds I want all the armors I collected in ME2 and the L, M, H armors from ME1 for that matter. Plus I want a armor gallery like Tony Stark.

All of your gear from ME2 has been confirmed to return to ME3 and accessible to Shep.

New armor is very cool, but I just want my Kestrel stuff back, or something similar. Heavy armor with bonuses to toughness and melee damage? Yes, please.

You're probably right, but that also seems to be the armor that Shepard is actually wearing in the gameplay demos.  I really hope they switch to the second design or that it is at least available because it looks great.  Bioware did a great job improving the design of the N7 armor from ME1 to ME2, so I can only hope that this is the next step in design.

Also, I believe Casey Hudson has said on a couple different occasions that there will be a greater amount of armor customization.  I can only hope this mean more pieces with different abilities.  If there was one thing that irked me about Mass Effect 2, it was how limited the number of armor pieces were.  Sure we had DLC armor, but about half of them you couldn't even remove the helmet much less mix and match pieces.

Do you have a source for this?

Has it really been confirmed?  I hope so.  I invested a lot in ME2.  It'd be nice if I got to keep my dlc stuff.  Especially after drinking all of that Dr. Pepper!

I sent a tweet to Christina Norman a day or two ago, so I'm waiting for a reply still. I still hope that we get both sets of armor in game or least get one as DLC.
