If the Justicars consider high heels and large V necks as "proper armor" then it's no wonder why there's so few of them.
HA! Don't you see? It's the distraction factor.

Samara's nearly 1000 years old and she's probably one of the most powerufl biotics in the galaxy, who needs armor when you can temporarily fly like she can?

The most glaring issue with Samara's outfit is that her hedonistic sex murderer daughter dresses more modestly than she does.

While I do like cleavage as much as the next guy/girl... I just don't like her in the game. By her I don't necessarily mind her character but how it is... hmm portraited.
She's supposed to be a member of an order casting off earthly posessions and relationships in the pursuit of justice. Yet conversationally shepards "curiosity" is welcome... Combine that with a very "logical" choice of armor for a life consisting of fighting the worst scum in the galaxy. .

I've always wondered if Samara's lack of a helmet and exposed heart area is a deliberate design of her costume. After all, a Justicar is supposed to be the best of the best. Many candidates die in training, before they even take their final oaths. They don't take weak asari. I've always thought that the Justicar's two most vulnerable points, her head and her heart, are left exposed as means of showing her honor, that she is so reliant on her skills as a Justicar that she gives her opponent a fighting chance. An "honor" thing, or somesuch.
Of course, in a hostile atmosphere or space...

So we've all come to two conclusions.
1) Samara simply dresses in typical Asari fasion.
2) The Asari dress like skanks.

The designers themselves have specifically used the term "space babes" to describe the asari. So unfortunately, yes, even their most respected embodiments of the law have to be sultry sexpots.

...by HUMAN standards. By ASARI standards, they simply dress like asari. Why would a race of women be shy about their bodies? The only reason humans have the modesty issues we have (in some cultures...) is because we have sexual dimorphism. If all humans looked female (even if we still have two sexes) things like going topless would have much less cultural significance.

I could kind of see this but Knights and Samurai had an honour thing too but they still had the sense to wear helmets. There is no honour in being killed by a weaker opponent because you gave them an opening.ADLegend21 wrote...

There's plenty of Asari that wear long dresses that show no skin.

@DPSSOC Benezia's dead, btu she's easily the hardest enemy to kill in ME1 since she can use statis that keeps Shepard down (not like shiala's which is annoying) She can also fight indoctrination so since she's tht skilled she can wear whatever the hell she wants. Samara's also incredibly pwoerful because she hs Reave. Seriously I never have to use medi-gel for her anymore since I always max out Reave.

Knights and samurai are just analogies that Samara uses to help Shepard use to help him understand Justicars. It's not a direct parallel.

And there's plenty of humans that do too. Just because there are asari cultural tendencies doesn't mean they would ALL dress that way. I imagine asari Maidens especially would run the gamut of different styles of dress, fter all, 30-ish years ago this neat race of aliens called "humans" arrived on the mass relay network, and they look a LOT like asari. I bet the fashion houses of Illium were taken by storm by human fashion influences in the 2150s. Matrons and Matriarchs came of age before humans arrived on the galactic scene, so any fashion influence from humans wouldn't have as much impact.

Kinda my point. Benezia was a powerful biotic, with an entire unit of Asari commandos at her call as well as Geth, and she fell. It's entirely possible she fell to a group with no biotic abilities at all. Yes being a powerful biotic gives her protections but only a fool would think it makes her invulnerable (Only Immunity can do that and it's a Soldier skill, ha).Siansonea II wrote...

Yes I know I was just using them as another parallel. Those two have codes of honour but neither of them include, "Give the honourless dogs a chance in a fight." Given the Justicars be all end all solution is kill everybody I don't see them regarding those they fight as being worthy of honouring with a chance at success.

I wouldn't be so sure about Asari looking like humans. The bachelor party on Illium and the Retribution book imply they use some kind of telepathic manipulation to make themselves look attractive to other species.

Blah blah blah, it's THIS "theory" again. Asari are blue skinned aliens that look like human females. They have five fingers on each hand, two arms, two legs, two eyes, a nose, a mouth, and weird sculpted skin folds where ears and hair would be on a human. They're not some weird telepathic hologram projection. Seriously, this is the stupidest theory of all time, and I find it ridiculous that a strictly-for-laughs exchange in the Eternity Bar is given more weight than the whole rest of the game. If the asari have voodoo pheremones, it doesn't change their appearance, it just makes the subject more receptive to their appearance. The word "duh" springs to mind...
Saren's dead too, he wore armor,Nihlus as well, Jenkins, the various mercenaries shepard kills in her adventures. the hardest ME2 squadmate to kill on the SM is Miranda with her catsuits, Samara and Jack are the perfect women suited for the biotic bubble with their lack of clothing and Kasumi's a chosen candidate for the ducts at the beginning with her catsuit and Tali is with her enviorment suit. I bet they enjoyed not having armor on in that blazing heat too.DPSSOC wrote...

Don't you find it a little strange that KROGANS find the Asari attractive and yet there's no hint of any Krogan/Human pairing?
