either way, he/she should be an intersting character, and really serves to wrap up the mystery; helping to close the plot threads that the Protheans created for Shepard.

Some people will like it, some people won't. But you can never make everybody happy, and this being BW social network, BW could deliver a perfect game with ME3 from all perspectives and it wouldn't matter, a big chunk of guys here could still find things to heavily rant about.

Personally, if done well, I think this idea could be a good one.

Although the voice did sound similar to the Prothean voices in ME1, it's still very speculatory to say that it is a prothean. Still, this entire thread is based on speculation, so I'll edit that into the OP. =)

"Trashed a long time ago" ?? Ha. More like it was accidently revealed that the new DLC squadmate was a prothean, and Bioware was scrambling to do damage control. Chris is like "oh yeah thats an old idea and a typo" - how do you accidently type 'prothean" ?

No friends, it was accidently revealed. It should've been a surprise but like several other *surprises", it got leaked early. No doubt Bioware was pissed about it. But there it is. It's out in the open now.

I would rather today's races find their own way as opposed to a Prothean just popping up and handing us the answer. I guess the Prothean can't be vital to the plot cause it's dlc, right?

All that she does is encourage you to talk to Vigil for slightly longer. There's nothing extra gained from having her in the party.

Forget him being a Husk. They can give me a collector since they are the Protheon. Hell make him S/S romance since so many people would love that.

The image in the OPs post probably isn't a Prothean stasis pod. I think that it is the dyson sphere Legion mentioned. The giant Anti-Reaper.

I really doubt that, since a Dyson sphere is usually larger than our sun.

just because no one have posted in a thread for a month, doesn't mean that it's not relevant anymore,

When you need to dig thru almost 60 pages of threads, I'd argue that point.

As it was said tho, there are plenty of more recent threads.  I wasnt commenting on relevence tho.

Actually it was 29 days dead, and I made this thread so I can do what I want!

As for "why do people keep making them?" if you actually bothered to read the OP you would notice that this thread is different to many of the other threads that were created regarding the prothean squadmate. The purpose of this thread is to look at possible clues for the squadmate rather than just being "ZOMG Prothean squadmate!"

Well most prothean squadmate threads I see on the forum focus on questioning the validity of the rumor through mainly looking at what the devs have said (specifically Chris Priestly's comments on it) or how it would fit into the game (would it be a good thing?/would it be a bad thing? etc.). I made this thread mostly to look at possible clues within the games that support the possibility of a prothean squadmate and I have summed some of them up in the OP (the main one is Liara's comment in the Shadow Broker dlc).

Even if there is a Prothean squadmate something like that should be in the main game not a DLC pack..........though Protheans have been dead for 50,000 years I don't think it would be possible for a prothean in stasis to survive for that long
