I've been playing with the memory band, for a couple of days now in fact, but now, it just disappeared off my hard drive. the code doesn't work twice, and i can't play with any of my saved characters because they all have the memory band equipped! What is going on here?

My Memory Band only showes up if I am logged into Xbox Live and the Bioware servers.

I have had the same problem but managed to solve it. For me the memory band was bundled with the feral wolf charm in the Gamestop pre-order items. These items are redeemed and downloaded as a single bonus pack on your hdd. However, it seems that when you download this bonus pack you only actually download the license for the one item you first choose to download (I can be wrong, but this is how I interpret it anyway). Perhaps you recall that when you choose to download the first one, the second will automatically be downloaded as well (since they are in the same bonus pack). If you disconnect from Live and try to open a saved game the game will think that you only have the license for one of the items.



I'm not sure if I explain well, but what you need to do is go to the memory settings of your console and manually delete the bonus pack. It will have the name "bonus item pack 1" or something like that. Then you log on Live and choose to download memory band (or whatever item you are having problem with). The bonus pack will download and you will now have the license for memory band as well. Hope this helps.

I tried that and it didn't work for me. Been waiting two working weeks to hear back from EA...

Dragonage origins
Deleted Promo pack 1 and 2 because I didnt know which one was the ferral charm and which one was the lucky stone
Loaded DA this time I dowloaded the memory band since I did the feral charm first last time. redownloaded the lucky stone
And now I have licenses for both..

I deleted my game content on the dashboard then went into the game and redownloaded it.  So I went into system settings then memory then went to games and picked dragonage origins and deleted promo pack 1 and 2..  (you might only have one I unlocked another ring from the website) Then loaded up the game and re downloaded the memory band it automaticly downloads the feral charm.  And I re downloaded the other ring from the website.

Nevermind. I got the Mem Band put on my account by Cust Support.

i had the same problem, the memory band wouldn't show up if i was offline, so I followed what BluStorm did and deleted the promo pack, and redownloaded the memory band from the DLC menu, and now it works. now if only I could get the rest of my promo stuff and be able to upload my characters...

I went in to my hard drive and deleted promo pack one and two, but when i try to redownload the memory band it tells me that my code is invalid. how do i redownload. I feel like i"m missing the obvious here.

i think i know why now. I'm reverted back to silver. On my boyfriends account I can redownload them and he still has gold. but shouldn't this effect my other saves as well and not just my rouge city elf?

As others have pointed out, you probably don't have the license for the Memory Band on your Xbox for offline play, so you're getting the error message when the game can't contact the DA servers to authorize that item for you.
