No "Red List."  I don't like Morinth.  When I'm making my "canon" playthrough, maybe I'll exclude some of the characters I think are more superfluous.

Is it possible to edit the availability of upgrades?  As it is, the only incentive I personally have for recruiting those "superfluous" characters is any upgrades that are available on their missions.

Even if I have character I really don't like, I don't feel like killing them for sport.

I killed some people on one of my playthroughs because I thought it was illogical to have everyone survive a suicide mission. So for that Shep, Jack, Thane, Jacob and Zaeed won't make it to ME3.

Also in that one, I was doing mostly renegade things, so I chose to kill Samara... Also Wrex and Kaiden are dead in that playthrough too

Lotsa bodies

The only character who comes close is Morinth and even she will be around on one of my playthroughs. I tend to try and balance my playthroughs out so everything is balanced (equal amount of survivals for Ash and Kaidan for example). I can find something to like or enjoy about every character really.

No red list except maybe for Morinth. I'll never intentionally side with her at least so I'll have her on any of my Shepards. :/

Morinth- Mass murdering sexual deviant... Thanks but I'll stick with the other mass murderer who probably won't kill me

Morinth. I could never, ever betray Samara. Otherwise, no one. I may have favourites and prefer some team members to others, but each has a contribution to make in the fight against the Reapers.

Morinth: Will never choose her over Samara

Kaiden: say it with me "whiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine"...plus it was either him or Ash and Ash is less aggravating

Jack: I never kill her but as it is her character progression was badly truncated in ME2 and I lost interest

Ash:.....Horizon made me want to give her a mastectomy with a shotgun. Sure, not her fault completely, writing was awful but if I do not get to at least confront her in ME3 I am airlocking her or feeding her to my pet mech

Tali: Annoying, useless and overrated. Have fun in those vents. Maybe you should have waited until after the suicide mission to start an argument with a decent character.

In an effort to steer this away from being that conversation how do you find Legion interesting? He comes in so late that the game is over before I have any time to really explore his character. To me, he's just some robot that gets thrown into my squad near the end that we never really talk about.

Ok I'll bite.

Well first off I guess I don't really hate Tali. I just have always found her annoying and the way she is talked about "round these parts" really makes me detest her and makes me like other characters more because they are not her.

As for Legion, I find him entertaining and useful in combat. I also see him to be in the right in his argument with Tali.

I usually kill off Morinth. I still have an ultra-renegade Shepard who killed Wrex

I've always sacrificed Ashley, but I'm thinking about doing an ME2 Genesis thing where Kaidan croaks, Ashley lives and I didn't romance anyone so I can have a lack of drama for ME3 with Thane.

I never recruit Morinth. My renegon Shep might get annoyed with Samara's black/white outlook on the world but she respects the need for such people. Having a nymphomaniac serial killer might ruin the ambiance of the Normandy.

You don't seem to be aware of the difference between fiction and reality.

Extreme anti-social behavior.

Principle shouldn't and usually isn't defined by fiction and reality.

If someone purposefully kills a character because they don't like them, and it's nothing to do with roleplay reasons, then they most likely have sociopathic tendencies.

Or, they're simply just vindictive and/or spiteful.

There are no characters in the ME franchise that I feel strongly about not liking Even the villains have their charms and are fleshed out well enough to earn some respect. But this is kind of the standard with all Bioware games, characters and story are really their strong suit.

Some characters I am pretty neutral about like Legion, Kaidan, Jacob, Tali. And others I absolutely adore Garrus, Mordin, Wrex. But really, I wouldn't tell ANY character in this verse to "go to hell and gtfo". Not even bat-guano insane Admiral Xen or the ever-manipulative TIM.

I've only killed off people purposefully in one single playthrough out of fourteen. Not because I disliked them, but because I want to see how it'll effect ME3. I killed off: Jacob, Jack, Tali, and Garrus.

Everyone surives in at least one of my files for import into ME3.  Most of my Shepards had everyone survive the Suicide Mission.  Unless they have some really cool twists planned for ME3, losing a character is just setting myself up to lose content.  Even if that character is relegated to a small cameo, that's still content I'd be missing.

I guess an exception is Morinth, but I just can't RP any reason why my Shepards would spare her.  She hardly seems to count anyway.

I have no "red list"

I don't hate any of the squad.

I'm not a big fan of Kaiden, but I never really gave him a chance(when I found out I had to choose between him and ash.. I decided it would be him dying and so I never really bothered getting to know the character)

I guess I don't really like miranda, not enough let her die on the SM. Just find her to be annoying.(then again I'm a Jack fan so maybe that has something to do with my dislike of Miranda)

I can't kill my squaddies, even if I dislike their personality.

You're a psychopath for wanting someone you don't like dead, yes. That's an extreme antisocial behavior.

Judgemental much?  You do realize the people in the screen aren't real, right?  If not, I'm pretty sure there's a pill for that.

How else would you recommend that a person remove characters from their game that they find annoying or otherwise objectionable?

I recruit and save all characters, even the ones I don't like, simply because I want to experience the content.  But, I can see why some people would rather spare themselves exposure to certain personalities.

Iv'e never had any of my squad die, That being said I have seriously considered it regarding...

Jack- never really been a fan, kinda cool character just never really like her
Jacob- But I really have nothing against him he's just boring

Most of all Miranda. Seriosly am I the only one? I can't stand her, as a character, her design (being the cheesy overly sexed role, even though I'm a guy), her persanality, just everything. I really didn't like Miranda and don't understand the attraction (fanbase etc.) to her. I didn't see her as a important character or well desigened. but alas I never killed her off (not to mention My shepard wouldn't)

I have let people die on the SM for the dramas (and to see the different effects in ME3) but it has never been because I didn't like them enough. It's too bad that dead squad-mates will lead to less content.. well, we don't know that for sure, maybe just some content will change significantly but not necessarily be "lessened" as a result.

Characters I have let die: Kirrahe, Ashley, Kaidan, Tali, Miranda.

My canon-shep saves everyone. I am, however, planning a playthrough that kills as many people as possible, especially characters that look like key players in ME3, just to see how that all plays out. If possible I'm going to try and keep it as plausible as I can for a Paragon Shepard, meaning I'll do at least a few loyalty missions, the ones that seem like they can't possibly wait until after the SM, and I won't make choices during the Suicide Mission that seem completely idiotic (like making Grunt a fireteam leader).
