I see a lot of hate for the decision to have Cerberus working for the Reapers, and while there may be a deeper reason for it, even on the surface it isn't a great deviation in the organisation's character.

Cerberus's goals, simply put, are to:

• Do what is best for their species.
• Defend themselves from aliens that seem to threaten them.
• Try to allow themselves to survive.
• Fulfil these goals through any means necessary.

Any of this sounding familiar? Perhaps reminding you of another person who allied with the Reapers for those exact reasons?
