Topic. I think a thread about this should be made more in OT forum because it's what brings us soo many memories that you can't say ''That was back in the day, now i honestly don't care about that X game anymore sorry''.

Theres sooo much games that was released before todays, FPS's, Platform's, Driveing, RPGs, MMOs, RTS and dance games ect ect that made an impact that i don't feel most VG now dosent quite have or is close to. So i decided to make this thread, if you don't feel it's your worth your time just ignore it.

My Favorite Chilhood Game:

Phantasy Star IV or Legend of Zelda - Link's Awakening.

Was obsessed with both as a kid.  Maybe also Bionic Commando.

I got this game from a Pawn Shop, and it has been my favorite console game since then. I think the most memorable moment was taking down Raven's tank with some gernades.

A tie between "Pac-Man" and "Q*bert". I was floored when I saw those games in arcades. The first time I got to play "Ms. Pac-Man" and "Q*bert" at home was a magical experience. I could also name a few NES games. Damn, do we have to choose just one? :P Impossible!

Damn, It's almost impossible to point a single game from my childhood. Since I have several systems, I'll point the favorites of each one (PC and PS2 excluded, since they're a part of my present, not my past)

Atari: Enduro
Master System: Phantasy Star
SNES: Super Mario World and Top Gear
PSX: Gran Turismo 2 and Metal Gear Solid

Ah! And Arcade too: Favorites were Daytona USA and that 4-player Simpsons beat'em up game

That Simpsons game was epic.  But then again, most of the arcade beat 'em ups of that era were awesome to me. X-Men, Ninja Turtles, Sunset Riders, etc., etc.

When I was very young?  There was only Pong, pretty much, and it sucked.

When I was slightly less young I remeber liking this thing called Lunar Rover Patrol, pretty much a Defender-type thing only with added wheels and potholes.  I liked Pacman too, but I was no good at it so I settled for watching other people play.

I enjoyed a few text adventures too, though I forget the name, and a strategy-type game called Quest which would be mind-bogglingly simple by today's standards but it was fun.  Oh, and the first fps I played, something called Phantom Slayer from the early 1980s.

Most of these things were for a Dragon 32, much the same thing as a Tandy Colour.

Sunset Riders and Ninja Turtles were brilliant, I still remember the first time I played both of them in the arcades.

Barbarian is the first truly great game I can remember playing before I got a console.

Once I got a console though Sonic, Road Rash, Flashback and NHL 93 were how I spent most of my early gaming years.

Street Fighter 2 in the arcades stole a large percentage of my youth though.

Pokemon or Mario RPG probably. In the 3D era, FF8 (yes, 8), Ocarina of Time, Resident Evil 2. Bunch of other games I rented and found entertaining but never bought and can't remember well... Clayfighter 63 1/3 sticks in my mind though for whatever reason.

Oh, also NiGHTS.

You had the Colecovision Naughty? Sweet! That console was so ahead of it's time but it's almost impossible to find one in good working conditions these days.
