Topic. I think a thread about this should be made more in OT forum becouse it's what brings us soo many memories that you can't say ''That was back in the day, now i honestly don't care about that X game anymore sorry''.

Theres sooo much games that was released before todays, FPS's, Platform's, Driveing, RPGs, MMOs, RTS and dance games ect ect that made an impact that i don't feel most VG now dosent quite have or is close to. So i decided to make this thread, if you don't feel it's your worth your time just ignore it.

My Favorite Chilhood Game:

Everything about that game brings tears too my eyes even seeing today, the hilrious awesome VA, Superb platform gameplay elements, Incredible humor that WORKS!, characters everything it just makes me wanna go back to 1997 and just play it all over again.

Lego, fuzzy felt and modelling clay were my particular favourites, with Haunted House and Mousetrap as my fave board games. Oh, and p&p Dungeons & Dragons when I got a bit older. We did have that really basic ping pong thing on what passed for a gaming console in the late 70s/early 80s. I still remember my brother saying 'Is this all it can do? This computer thing'll never take off ...'

Well, I started playing games on the computer at the age of 11, which would have been... 1986.

The first one that really stuck in my mind was Phantasie III - The Wrath of Nikademus, from 1988, on the C-64. Here's a litle gameplay video. I guess it was this game that made me interested in RPGs. B)

Hmm, I've played the Atari, and Sega Gen. But given I've hardly beaten any game on either system I won't name those, so the leaves the 64, where I got to go with Super Mario 64, and Goldeneye 64.

Oh yeah Unreal Toruny and Doom 2 on the PC at school lulz.

I didn't get a PS1 till some years later.

Pirates!
and
North & South

And a bit later, probably my favourite old game by a longshot:
Master of Magic

Define "very young"?

Well I was 6 when my brothers got their C64 and I remember Giana Sisters and Bubble Bobble the best.

When I started to actively play on the PC by myself, Tomb Raider made me spasm.

Monkey Island 1&2&3 (I actually have fond memories of the fourth one as well, but I was 13 years old when it came out, does it still count as very young? - edit: yes it does it seems)

Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis (why couldn't they do a movie based on this game? whyyyy?)

Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow (a ninja version of Donald Duck? My 7-year-old self was already sold)

edit: ok, saw the OP's edit. If age 14 is the limit I should mention also Ultima IX :D
