Ooh! I remember that! :o

Still remember the inscription I found on a toomb stone in a graveyard in that game:

"Leslie Moore,
killed by magnum 44,
No Less, No Moore"

Good game. :wizard:

Monkey Island 2 which I still believe to be the best game of all time, I don't care what people say, this game hasn't aged ! Every couple of months I have to play through it again and wonder if this game could get any more perfect. I'm actually kind of amazed that the 1991 low res version looks better than the 2010 revamp (it's not pixel art fetishism, it's just that they made it all cartoony and childish ; also the voice-acting is way over the top ; I liked the fact that the characters in the original looked so serious but had hilarious lines, they should have picked serious VAs only !)

When I was very young, my cousins had and Atari 2600. Since they were sometimes our babysitters, we spent a lot of time at their house, playing games like Pac-Man and Q*Bert. When I was a little older, my dad bought us an Intellivision, which kept us in videogames for years!

Some of more familiar games included Triple Action, Tron Deadly Discs, Lock N Chase, a couple of D&D games, Utopia, Space Hawk and Astrosmash.

I love Dr. Mario - I still play it, there's nothing quite like those classic puzzle games.

My own personal childhood favourite - Bonecruncher!

Does it have to be video-games?

Because when I was young we were so poor we played "classroom" :\\

And it works exactly......how your thinking it did.

How could I not mention Alone in the Dark (original trilogy) ! The game over screens were so nightmare inducing ! According to which point in the game you died you'd just see whatever horrible ritual those polygonic monsters would perform on your corpse. That music too ! I wish those games could work alright on modern systems.

I replayed that last year, followed by Majora's Mask.  They both still hold up really well!

I love the first one.  But it didn't come out in my childhood.  I think I was about 26 when I played it.

The time frame limits me a bit OP, with age 14 being the cut-off. Hmm, the original Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Rygar, Ninja Gaiden and Castlevania on the NES were certainly favorites.

On the Sega Genesis it would have to be Phantasy Star 2, Golden Axe, Landstalker and Shining Force.

The Adventures of Maddog Williams. I doubt anyone's heard of it, but I spent countless hours of my childhood on it. What was really novel about it at the time was how you could get Maddog to describe every person or object on the screen, by typing "look at so-and-so"

mmmm...

well i have been in gaming since i was six, VERY first game was Street Fighter II in those arcades.
when i got a pc (i'm a pc gamer and console, but pc is my system and forever will be), i started really getting hardcore:

Diablo (1 and 2)
StarCraft
TES II: Daggerfall
System Shock 2(at first i regreted this one because it used to scare the S**t out of me)
Deus Ex (F**k you Invisible Wars)
Ultima(can't remember which one though)
Might and Magic 1 through 4 (i gave up this series after that one)
Baldur's Gate 2 (didn't played the first one until recently)
Fallout 1(didn't played the second one until recently)
IceWind Dale
Duke Nukem (Hail to the king baby!)

on consoles:

Crash Bandicoot 1 and 2
Mortal Kombat
Tekken
Metal Gear Solid
Final Fantasy IX ( the ONLY one i like)
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Best console game ever imo)
Goldeneye 007
Pretty much every Mario Game (yes, even doctor Mario)

also, you could count Planscape Torment, but when i played i didn't finished it because i used a copy from a friend, and then moved, and i couldn't finish it then, i recently finished the job though.

It's a free download. However, the last computer I ran it on used it with MS-DOS, so I'm not entirely sure about the system requirements or if it will work with technology from this century. If you do get it running though, please let me know!
