After much thought here is my list...
Megaman X... The music alone brings me back. Damn this game is in my thoughts almost every day all day.
Super Mario 3... The ultimate in Mario 2D platforming. Nothing Nintendo has done compares in that regard at least except....
Super Metroid... Yes no words to convey how awesome this was.
Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past.... The best of the top down Zelda's as far as I'm concerned.
Majora's Mask. As great as OoT was I think MM is better the story was more compelling and the masks was a great game mechanic. And OMG that moon still gives me nightmares.
Goldeneye... Proof that it doesn't have to be a cheap cash in to be a good movie adaption. Forget the F-ing movie this is better in almost ever way!
Perfect Dark... Pardon the pun but Rare took the Goldeneye formula and perfected it. IMO PD is even better than Goldeneye.
WWF No Mercy... Wrestling is sort of a guilty plessure for me. While the quality of the shows themselves has lessened since the brilliant Attitude era the games have and always will have a special place in my heart. This game came out during the attitude era so maybe I'm a little biased but I feel that nothing comes close to the fun of this one (the SvR series has been fun but we're talking about the ones we grew up with)
Castlevania Especially IV and Symphony of the Night.
The music in IV especially from the SNES mmmm I pulled out my SNES not too long ago to play it.
I could go on forever but I think I'll save it for another post.
