It would be cool to own a replica. I know that some places have created armor and helmets based on Halo and made out of some kind of tough plastic. Anything like that for Mass Effect?
are there any companies that make N7 armor?

If you mean life-size N7 armor for you to wear. Yeah people who do cosplay usually make it themselves or pay a cosplay commissioner to make them. But paying someone to do it gets really pricey, especially for armor. (I make cosplays myself so speaking from experience)

Yup. I've done my share of cosplay though I've stopped may do it again eventually.
