what i am trying to accomplish is get my grey warden main character to max out the level cap using the lothering infinite exp glitch. i do not know if this means that i will have to start an awakening file and then migrate that back to my origins file to raise the level cap, or if this is even possible?
i also want to use the tome glitch to max out all of my skills talents and points. but i know that i have to wait before doing this, as this can ruin your ability to level up any higher. so again, i need some advice from an expert at using these glitches.
last but not least, i am on my third playthrough, and i just reached camp. i want to get wynne in my party immediately. but i dont want the leveling to cause her specializations to already be chosen by the time i first meet her. i want her to be an arcane warrior/spirit healer.
i know that this is a very complex question but if someone would be so kind as to take the time to walk me  through this step by step, i would deeply appreciate this.

I use that one all the time. One of your characters will need a trap-making skill of at least 1. I usually have Alistair learn basic trap-making --- I'm sure that his templar training would have involved learning traps. Once you're in Lothering, Allison will want 3 basic spring traps. Completing this quest will give you 50 silver and 100 experience points. Talk to her again, and she'll say "Thanks for the traps. I feel safer already", but after a few seconds, the quest will be re-activated, and you can complete it an infinite number of times. The shopkeeper in the tavern will sell you an infinite amount of trap triggers, and it takes 1 trap trigger to make one spring trap. It takes 3 spring traps to complete the quest. So, you can make as many spring traps as you want, and Allison will buy an unlimited number from you. I usually level up here, and once I reach level 25, all of my other characters will be at level 24. At this point, I bring Alistair, Sten, and the dog into my party and keep unloading traps until they're at level 25. After that, I bring Morrigan and Leliana into the party until they reach level 25. I usually end up with about 850 gold, and you can really go as high as you want to. The only limit is your capacity to endure boredom. When I start a new character, I usually get them to Lothering, and I unload 1000 traps every night.

To speed things up, I zoom in on Allison and turn the looking direction around. You should be facing her butt. From there I right click, which begins the conversation "Did you, did you make any traps?". After that, I left click and set the cursor up so that it's lined up with the first dialogue option (informing her that you have the traps). From there she says "Oh what a relief. Thank you stranger". I repeat that over and over and over until I've unloaded 1000 traps. From there, I go back to the tavern, buy 1000 more trap triggers, have Alistair make 1000 more traps, go back to Allison, and save the game for tomorrow night.

BTW, I should probably mention that I never downloaded any of the DLCs. One of them may disable this glitch. I'm not sure. I know that installing Awakenings disables the Ostagar glitch.

EDIT: Oh, I didn't read your post. I thought that you just wanted to learn how to do the glitch. Wynne starts off with the Spirit Healer specialization, just as Morrigan starts with the Shapeshifter specialization, Alistair starts with Templar, etc. I don't think that you can be higher than level 25 in Origins, and I don't think that you can go back to Origins, since your Awakening file will be completely separate. Also, you can't get Wynne until you're in the Tower and the Templars shut you in. The only way out it to defeat Uldred at the top, and by the time you leave, Lothering will have been destroyed. If you use the Lothering exp/gold glitch, you'll be at level 25, so Wynne will be too. She'll be able to learn a 2nd specialization, since at that point, Spirit Healer will be the only one that she'll have. You can make her an Arcane Warrior.

awesome. THANK YOU so much for the information. Could you help me a bit further?

First of all, I am playing on the xbox 360 I might add. I have Awakening installed, and it did not disable the Ostagar glitch or the Lothering glitch, they both work fine.

My question is - After maxing out the main character and all other characters' level to 25, is there ANY POSSIBLE way to boost the main character (your main grey warden import file at level 25) all the way to the level cap in Awakening? Because as soon as you begin Awakening, the level cap goes up, right?

Is there any way to max out the level cap in Awakening if you start Awakening at 25?

I don't think so, but don't quote me on that.  To do what you have planned, you would need to be able to do things and use skills that probably aren't in the programming for Origins.  It would be like getting Pac Man to jump like Frogger - the programming just isn't there.  Again, don't quote me on this - there may be some well-written mod.  Do you know about the leveling glitch in Awakenings?  You can get up to level 35 early in the game by finishing the basement and repeatedly going down to the area where the rubble blocks your path.  Click on the rubble and that female soldier will ask you if you're ready to go back to the Keep.  Say "yes", and you'll end up back at the entrance.  You get 2,000 exp every time you do that, and after about an hour, you'll be at level 35.

I had a thought. Is there a reason why you want your Origins characters to be at level 35? When you get Wynne, not only will you be able to give her a 2nd specialization, but she'll also have enough unassigned skill points to max out the Arcane Warrior tree.

I thank you very much for telling me about the awakening level glitch. The only character I am wanting to max out is my main character, but will probably be maxing out the other chars as well. I just want to do it for the fun of it. Plus, by maxing out the levels, and all skill trees, and maxing all attribute points I will get the most fun out of the game, along with being able to have high enough strength to wear all the most powerful armors, pass all the intimidation checks, and have high enough cunning to pass all persuasion checks, high enough dex to unlock any chest or door, etc.

I am just afraid to do the level glitch, because I don't want to ruin my ability to maxx out all of my trees/ attribute points. If you max out all of your trees using the tome dupe trick, you can no longer level up, if you do it wrong.

Is there a way to tome dupe in awakening?

I was thinking that it would be fine to max out to level 25 first, THEN max out my skills/talents/spells/points, etc. Using the tome. Dupe trick.

However, when the level cap goes up in awakening I will be stuck, and no longer able to level up because I will have maxed out my trees, etc. So I am trying to understand where I should stop using the tome dupe trick so that I leave just exactly enough slots open to reach level 35 in awakening and by the time I hit level 35 I will have exactly enough tree slots left to fill, and be completely maxed.. help??

I don't know what the tome dupe trick is. In awakenings, there are extra skills - Runecrafting, Vitality bonuses, energy bonuses, and maybe one more. That seems like cheating a little bit too much for me. You can look on Dragon Age Wiki to see what the new skill trees are (general skills), and that will tell you how many extra skill points you need. So, it'll be 4 for each of the additional skills mentioned above. I usually have Leliana max out poison, Morrigan max herbalism, and I base my own skills on what I need to beat the game. FYI, I don't think that there are any Tomes of Skill and Sundry in Awakenings.

The tome dupe trick is having 2 identicle tomes and then using the wardens keep chest to bounce them in and out of junk a certain way in order to duplicate an infinite amount of that same tome which can give you the ability to max out all of your trees and even bring your attribute points up as high as you want, however, if you fill up all of your skill/talent/spell slots too soon, when you level up, there will not be any slots left to fill, so you will not be able to advance in level any further.

Kinda pointless when its incredibly easy to make a 100% Spell immune and 100% Dodge Warden...
