If Krogan are represented as the size they are in cutscenes rather than actual combat then Wrex and Grunt since you'd have a portable barricade that regenerates to stay behind.
Anybody else ever wondered with the krogran considering how massive there jaws are why they don't just bite heads off in melee rather than head butting, wouldn't work on krogan but every other race with a sticky out head it would

Garrus and Samara. Samara would draw the attention away, then Garrus would snipe the enemies. Meanwhile, I would curl up into a ball and wait for it all to be over.

Same as the actual game, just for different reasons. Garrus and Tali. Garrus to snipe everything while I sayed behind cover and chatted with Tali.

Kaiden (Tech, L2 Biotic, Military Training, and Medical Skills. / One hell of a swiss army knife.)
Wrex (Krogan Biotic/Soldier Battlemaster. / At the very least... one hell of a shield to cover behind.)
As much as I love Zaeed, and as powerful as Jack is, characters like them are unruly troublemakers. Wrex and Kaiden have a good mix of usefulness and discipline. Characters like Tali or Mordin are squishy for a firefight, though useful and disciplined. Garrus is damn good, and I'd take him too, but I decided to go with Wrex. Legion is tempting too. Overall though, I value biotics and combat ability more, which Wrex has. Wrex is a skilled battlemaster (heavy armor / assault rifle / shotgun), along with being a biotic (barriers and telekinesis) and Krogan (regeneration), so he's extremely sturdy, capable of both holding a line and breaking enemy lines. Kaiden is irreplaceable though, IMO. He has too many useful skills. He can take care of injuries, take care of tech stuff, is an L2 Biotic (potent), and has military training.

This. I'd probably pick Samara and Liara. IRL, I wouldn't trust Jack to hold a bucket of water.
