I brought Wrex and Garrus to kill Saren, so that's what I'll do here, if I'm given the chance.

Otherwise, Liara and Garrus, or depending on the other squaddies, Liara and X.

Garrus is definitely coming along since he was with me every step of the way in ME1 and ME2, even in the DLC. Right now Ashley is my LI so probably her, but depending on if Liara's character development outshines her or not she might not be my canon LI for long.

Probably Garrus and Ashley. They were my team in ME1 (and failing that, Garrus and Jack/Legion in ME2). And my main Shep didn't have an LI so I don't have to worry about that.
