Ashley is too umm ehhh.......religious in her views to be that kinda girl, Tali I am a little iffy and Garrus going homosexual = HELL NO!

Why not ? If he can commit to xenophilia he can mix it up with good old sodomy.

See, this here? This is why we can't discuss same sex romance options.

I find myself agreeing.

Not for nothing is it called the forum equivalent of plutonium.

If they made Kaidan bi, they'd have to make Ashley bi as well. Tali is the most logical to become an option based on what was said/seen in ME2, imo. But if they make Tali bi, they'd probably have to make Garrus bi too, or else you'll hear ****ing and crying again. Sigh...
Why can't we all get along!? :D *Awaiting anxiously the talk about ME3 romances now.*

Eeep.... had no idea info like this was coming out soon. Don't know how much they will give out but now I'm really anxious as well. Ohh pretty please Joker as LI, I'm hoping for FemShep and MaleShep. Gahh... who am I kidding, they would never drop that kind of info so early. But I guess that if he won't be a LI I might as well know it now so I can have the whole crying into my pillow stuff over and done with before ME3 comes out   =)    hopeless romantics is hopeless romantic

Probably as soon as the mods feel like the community can handle it without it devolving into a cesspool of insults and attacks. Maturity goes a long way with these sorts of conversations. Also having enough information to even have a reasonable discussion helps.

Hopefully never. Its a stupid idea that only a small part of the OVERALL fanbase wants. I know there is a large amount of support for it on the forums, but turning male shep gay would be absolutely idiotic. Hope Bioware doesn't cave

This is why we can't have nice things.

It's been said plenty of times before but I'll say it again: ManShep doesn't have a canon sexuality. It is never stated. It could be argued that FemShep can "declare" her sexuality when she has the option to tell Liara whether she likes women or not but when it comes to ManShep things are certainly not set in stone.

How can you possibly know that only a minority want the OPTION? That's right, an OPTION you can choose to ignore that will not have any impact whatsoever on your straight ManShep.

Tolerance would go a long way towards solving this issue, not burying our heads in the sand and hoping it goes away.

We will be allowed to talk about it once new information comes out.

The existence of optional content bugs people, apparently.

The solution is simple, most of ME's people are straight, deal with it. DA2 leaves all the options open, ME is a different game. Just accept that.

Someone ought to make a banner that says "Optional options are optional". I'd so make room for one, somehow.

I don't support any romance or sex in ME3. How ever, what I want isn't allways what I get. But I can allways say my opinion.

As for same gender sex. In general I think it's over done, it's not that common in real world. Seem to give wrong impression about ME world for people thinking like gender doesn't matter in relationship. It would really shrink world population if it did not really matter. How ever, optional, sure, but not over done. Oh, over done is that everyone is bisexual, just to please players freedom of choise.

Would you still buy the game if Shepard was only straight?

Exactly. I don't mind it though aslong as characters aren't made gay to appease people. Also to bolded that's also another good point people might not think it matters but it matters quite a lot. Also guys you know what you're starting when you reply to raider's post if you don't like what he is saying don't respond it will just start fights.

That's the whole problem with the people on the forum; it's all about, I am gay, so Shepard should be gay too. Not how it works...if the whole gay forum had its way, there would only be male crew members in ME...

I don't speak for everyone else but I know I would. I did buy ME1 and ME2.

The story is a lot more important to me then if Shepard has s/s options or if I can relate to him on that level. If it wasn't in then whatever - move on - I know I'll love the game regardless. If it is, then yay - more options for my eight Shepards. I love variety. B)

Many S/S supporters are grasping at straws here.  My favorite agrument is: "Male Shep, Garrus, Kaiden, (insert character here) never says that they AREN'T straight.  Therefore, it is only logical that they can (and some would argue should) be bi/gay."  Lol yeah, Bioware was smart enough not to include diologue for each character where they said "Yeah Shepard, I'll come on your suicide mission. BTW, im not gay."  Are there any concrete hints that any of them are?  Not that I'm aware of.  But, Garrus talked about lettting off stress with his old female turian crew mate, Thane had a wife, and Jacob was rumored to have feelings for Miranda ("She requires a better man than I," etc).

And male shepard... any evidence there?  Wouldn't there be a hint of something in the first two games?

Is it not possible for someone to have feelings for both sexes?

Of course. The overwhelming majority of games feature only straight characters, and I buy them.

This is just an added bonus. More options for players who want them.

It is, but it's very rare. When it's made common it gives wrong impression how things really are.

oh lordie. i REALLY hope they dont do the DA2 route where everyones bi cus well, thats dumb...

should be done with new characters and maybe the VS's.

i just gotta hope they are tasteful with it and dont over do it. making everyone bi if you select the right dialogue is shameless retcons in the name of fanservice to a small minority that would annoy alot of people.

Obviously its possible for someone to do so.  But Shepard hasn't provided any evidence that there is any sort of male attraction lol.  It would be the retcon of all retcons.

And it would affect the game if he suddenly became gay/bi.  It COULD influence other characters, and they may look at Shepard differently if they saw him acting in that way.  I don't know if that would be the case, but its definetly a possibility.  I assume many straight people would view him differently.
