My first playthrough is usually my ideal one wherein I play using only instinct as my guide to my decisions. I used a Male Shepard who romanced Liara in the first game and Miranda in the next so I chose to sacrifice Ashley in Virmire because in my 'canon' storyline MaleShep and Kaidan are best buddies with a bromance (not homosexual). I'm just wondering if I should go with this as my first playthrough or the other one I thought of where I should romance Ashley and save her instead?

Who makes a better storyline, Kaidan bromance or Asha and Miri love triangle?

from what i have heard is that if u romanced someone in me1 and another one in me2 it will have bad concequnces for me3 (maby those 2 going to fight or something dont know =-P

I don't think I had a playthrough where I didn't strap Kaidan to the bomb, so I feel unqualified to answer that question.

Hmm, if Ash and Miranda leaves to a cat fight, then doesn't that mean that Ash still have feelings for you? Guess she can be romanced again in ME3

On topic: if there's a draw and you like them both equally, load the save where the most useful person in combat is alive - because the first playthrough where you're unfamiliar with game mechanics is usually the hardest one. Who to save depends on you play style - one people prefer tanks while another prefer casters.

Hey, that's great advice!! I think I'll go with Kaidan to be my VS for my first playthrough, I used him all the time in ME1. Also, I think I would like to see Liara and Miranda in catfight first.

kaidan doesnt act like a good enough friend to be worth saving if you're not romancing him.

if you're looking for bromances you got plenty, wrex, garrus and hell even thane is a pretty good bromance.

also liara isnt very good catfight material, she seems pretty ok with the fact that you moved on.

i guess im saying save ashley lol

You make a very good point and I think you're right about Ashley and others as better potential bromance. I'll do this first but that doesn't mean I'll do the Liara and Kaidan thing, just going to do it second.

My only male Shepard saved Kaidan. He is also going to be my gay Shepard, so I suppose that validates previous arguments.

nah i was playing with yall. but for real this is exactly what i thought when i picked ash over gheidan: xD

Ash romance is for renegade, Liara is for paragon. Makes the most sense to me.

My playthrough was that I saved Kaidan not only because he was a brofriend, but because it was more strategical to save him. Shep had no idea that things would turn out the way they did.

I, as the player, might have had some intentions...

Kaidan has a pretty good death (cinematically) if you strap him to the bomb. A pity to waste it.
