Only reason I am posting is that since I never expected such a huge bug to happen I didn't make a save game closer to the end, so have to start most of the DLC over... CRAP. Posted Image

1. What version of the game are you playing: Digital Deluxe Edition - Steam
      Configuration Utility | Game Tab
           * Version Information: MassEffect2.EXE - v1.02
2. System Details
      Configuration Utility | Summary Tab
           * AMD Phenom™ II X4 940 Processor / 3000 MHz /  7.99 GB RAM
           * VIDIA GeForce GTX 460 SE / 1.00 GB VRAM / Version 266.58
           * HD Audio rear output 2 / Version 6.0.1.1570
      Configuration Utility | Platform Tab
           * Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional x64 Edition Service Pack 2 (5.2.3790)
           * DirectX 9.0c (Mar2009) or later

Details about your problem.
1. What is the nature of the problem you are seeing?
      I am floating at the tip of the asteroid, hurtling towards the mass relay, I cannot move more then 2 feet in any direction before I hit an invisible wall, and am force to sit there until the cutscene-o-death triggers. (see below for exact)
2. When did the problem start occurring?
      On this most recent run through Mass Effect 2: The Arrival DLC
3. Where does your problem occur?
      It occurs exactly at the finale of the DLC, when it loads the last area it instead loads the cutscene of death without allowing me to play, or loads me into the little floating box as mention earlier. (see below for exact)
4. What are the steps in replicating the problem?
      I reactivated the cooling system for the core and then entered the next room where the good Dr. was threatening to shut off the engine power. When she turned to me with the detonater in hand I used the lethal option and shot her before she got too far into her speech. (Paragon Shepard doesn't like the doctor) Afterwards of course the explosive goes off and you get the brief cutscene of your character passing out. Now I hit space to skip through the cutscene as soon as possible and when I was supposed to have control back my Shepard was staring at the countdown timer for a bit, which I thought was odd and maybe a little load issue since I did skip the cutscene. Well after running through the station towards the exit I hit my use key onto the door and sat back to watch the loading screen. After the game finished loading it went immedeatly to the relay being rammed and quickly followed with Critical Mission Failure, with nothing between the load and the cutscene. Now I decided to hit resume thinking it may have been a loading hickup and again it loads straight to the cutscene, I then decided to hit load and load up the auto-save however this loads me floating near the front of the asteroid in thin air and hovering above the ground, there is no ability to move anywhere and I just have to sit and watch myself die. (see picture links below)
5. Have you modified your game in any way?
     No and this is a fresh install of Mass Effect 2, though this is actually my 5th playthrough of the game and third playthrough of the DLC.

Not much can be done except to advise you to load an earlier save. Save game glitches do happen on the odd occasion. Arrival was "internally outsourced" to the Montreal office of Bioware, and is thus a bit more buiggy than the rest of the game and DLC.

Its fine just never expected it to happen, so posting more as a 'Whoa wtf" moment then a complaint. Its not like there was a ton of gameplay (from my previous save) to get back to there and 20 minutes does not take that long in Mass Effect.

ok this just happened to me but my last save was ages ago, at the start of DLC. This is extremely annoying. is there any possible fix; save game edits, console access and commands.... anything?
