 Please, Bioware,

In ME2, when the infiltrator emerges from invisibility, and is hidden behind a wall, enemies their spider senses tingle and they know you are there.

NOT ALL ENEMIES ARE SPIDERMAN!

Please, please, change this in ME3, so we, infiltrators can make succesfull flanking moves and feel a bit more stealthy. Cos i likes my stealth.

^^This.

When you emerge from invisibility you probably just pop up in their radar.

It'd be more lame if the enemy didn't have radar like you.

It's why I didn't mind the weird colors of the suits. Outside Geth jamming, which was easily overcome, radar let you pinpoint units. So armor became something more like it was in the past -- a way to identify people rather than camo. Though gosh, some of the colors were bad. (Pink and white?!?! :)

in the gameplay vid it showed a soldier sneaking up on a cerberus dude. he started out of combat though so it might be restricted to that.

I think the ol' magic spidey sense won't be in ME3 :)

Perhaps more importantly...

...bring back our crouch function!

Seriously, I'd love to know what rocket scientist decided to remove the crouch function from a game that has an entire class devoted to the use of sniper rifles. Ridiculous.

Check the various twitter feeds for teh devs. One of them commented on why it was removed.

And they react before radar even had a chance to pick up your signal. <_<

Whilst I agree to some point, I see the above scene as the same as in Arrival. I don't think at that point the Cerberus goons are aware of Shep and his team. So Shep was able to sneak up behind the wall and get them. Plus that isn't even an Infiltrator, that is just soldier Shep, although it could easily be an Infiltrator as well. I think the main point the OP is stating is how it'd be nice if we could actually use the tactical cloak for more proper stealth situations without the guards always using their radars to suddenly realise where we are. One of the other slightly annoying situations with this is how even if they were engaging our fellow squadmates, when Shep comes out of cloak they would sometimes just turn their attention to us, that just shouldn't happen until we've made ourselves the main target by hitting them.

Exactly. This bothered me so much in ME2. If Shepard is out of cover usually all forces concentrate their fire on him. But the fun thing is indeed what you said. They suddenly turn their attention on shepard. Same as when infiltrator become visible. It's just not realistic..

I figure that enemies (when not in Combat Situations) don't have their radars on. That's when Cloak is more effective. They would be using their vision there. I figure you keep cloaking and taking them out until someone notices. That would be when the combat started. Cloak would be less effective but then something else would come into play:

The Guy With the Bigger Gun

Army of Two features an idea called Aggro. Basically, the guy who has the bigger gun at the enemies draws all their fire while the guy with the smaller gun (perhaps a pistol). Enemies will be so focused on. . . Let's say Garrus. . . with his Incisor Sniper Rifle that they will fail to see Infiltrator Shepard sneak up from behind and shove a blade down their throat.

This make the most sense logically to me.

This.

Shepard's automatic aggro is kind of annoying on harder settings.

Couldn't agrre more. And the way they always focus on you no matter what kinda makes flanking almost pointless, specially because the squadmates aren't that bright. Since they seem to underline the new AI and the strategic combat so much on interviews, I'm hoping this will be fixed. Oh the pretorians on insanity mode...

Didn't Bioware say that it was actually possibly to sneak around and such, working off of the cloak, too?

But I don't care about the crouch function, it would be redundant, and it caused issues.

It might work a bit better than before but I wont hold my breath for too much.
The radar argument is a valid one and given how the ME universe has smart targeting systems that work with infrared sensors and visual enhancements for helmets and huds I am not surprised enemies start to pick you up instantly again even when you are behind cover.
Still, I'll be the first to welcome more stealth elements for my infiltrator. In ME2, I used cloak mainly because it looked so dam cool :).

It's taken me a while to think up a response -- because the infiltrator is overpowered already.

No, I'm not trying to start an argument. Go on the derelict Reaper mission on Insanity. Get Shep surrounded by husks IN DIRECT PHYSICAL CONTACT. Hit the "vanish" button and walk off..

Half the time, I use the feature for the damage boost whether concealment is needed or not.. Knock a 100 percent Geth Hunter down with one shot (Insanity)? No problem with a Widow.

In the suicide mission, with the agent in the pipeline, was a piece of cake. Enemy got you stalled and the temperature's rising? Hit the vanish button and go punch the panel. Then kill enemies by shooting them in the BACK of the head.

Sorry. Can't agree with the original argument at all.

I realize OP was making a gameplay point and not a balance point, but introducing the proposed changes would make playing as an infiltrator a cakewalk.

Why would engaging stealth take you off radar? it's active camo, you can still reflect radar waves...

Also wtf,how do you carry a radar on you?

There are radar guns now, why not built in armor units 150 years in the future?

Edit: Also, 'radar' is really a genaric term used for any sort of system in a game that provides information on an enemy's position in a 2d radial format, usually as part of the HUD. It does not generally refer to something operating on reflected radio-waves.

So its like in Halo where everyone thinks the motion tracker is a radar, its basically clip vs magazine...gotcha.
