For those of us who like the female Spandex outfits...our women get to wear them, right?

I have nothing against spandex, although I hope there would be an option for player to choose between spandex and practical combat armor.

Spandex allows for increased mobility.

Garrus got reach.
But FemShep in a spandex suit got flexibility.

not to mention it's distracting

It's a positive distraction.

Shepard: Okay, let's kill some Cerberus dudes!
Ashley: This spandex suit gives me more flexibility!
Shepard: *jaw drops* BOOM! *gets shot in the head*

...I can see the positivity in that.

I am not bothered by what your squaddies wear as long as mine get practical armor.

Spandex? Sorry, I'm old school. I demand chainmail bikinis.

My Shep doesn't need heavy armor. It clashes with the cover.

Kaidan: "Those Asari commandos are impressive. Lightly armored, but their speed more than makes up for it."
Ashley: "Unless that speed lets them outrun bullets, I’m more inclined to stick with nice solid armor and a big gun."
Kaidan: "Point taken".

*Edited, 'cause I got the wrong person in the quote.*

Could it be that the "catsuit" isn't spandex or leather? This is set in the future with alien races and technology. What if the form fitting suits were actually high impact and advanced kevlar clothing? Made for the warrior who doesn't rush into battle. The suit would be great for a infiltrator class. If they had the new stealth take downs in ME 2, it would have been more feasible for Miranda to have it on. Kasumi had something similar and they used it with her play style.

I'm not against the suits at all and it has nothing to do with the sexuality of the character. Just give the option for armor for everyone and that should lessen the complaints from other people. Speaking of optional armor, it would be great if even the catsuit could be upgraded to have tech armor placed on it like I suggested in a different thread.

Either way, if armor is included at launch, great. If armor is included in an optional appearance pack, great. It's not a deal breaker for me because all in all a characters' armor isn't what I'm playing for.

So if I want my men to run around in speedos I should get that choice too right?

Screw that go the whole hog, nude options.  I mean once you go style over substance go for it all the way.

I would be perfectly fine with female characters wearing cat suits or whatever when they are not on missions.   If you look at the way clothing is handled for Shepard in ME 2 that shows how it should be done.  During missions it is only appropriate that characters wear body armour, but when hanging around the Normandy or non-combat missions there is no reason why they can't wear casual attire.  I have to say though it was never a big issue for me what the female characters wore anyway.

Exactly. I don't care what people wear ON the ship or even in places like the citadel, but ON a mission and in combat or exploration situation it makes no sense to me that they do not wear appropriate suits and helmets.

I don't have anything against catsuits as long as they make sense, and Femshep can wear one.. Heck ManShep too while we're at it... And Kaidan..

Sure if the only way to stop the Reapers is to successfully romance your entire squad.

Kaidan:"Commander."
Shepard:"So... Kaidan what you doing tonight?"
Kaidan:"Well I was just going to finish fixing these couplings then-"
Renegade Interrupt
*Shepard takes off clothes*
Kaidan:"JOKER IS WAITING FOR YOU ON THE BRIDGE."

Critical Mission Failure

(Kaidan's Romance Mission is really hard.)
