The main RPG aspect of Mass Effect has always been the conversation choices and the promise of consequences, and obviously they can't show much of that off. Apart form weapon, armour and ability customisation I don't really know what other 'RPG aspects' you guys are looking for.
We've already seen some stats shown in the weapon menus (using graphs is far more aesthetically pleasing than using numbers, and using numbers doesn't make the game more intelligent - recognising when one number is higher than another is the same as recognising when one bar on a graph is longer than another).
If you want loot, well we already know Shepard will have access to all his guns from ME2 and mentions of the in-game economy imply the ability to purchase weapons or upgrades from shops.
What else is there that ME1 had? It didn't have many of the features a lot of people seem to associate with hardcore RPG.
Besides, it was the story and the characters that make Mass Effect so good, not the 'RPG features' some on this forum seem to regularly mourn. If you're playing Mass Effect to scroll through menus then I'd argue you're missing the point.
