Since Priestly approves of my Nigel thread, Vega and him are not the same person. If not however he is toying with us.

Last i checked, priestly confirmed that James SANDERS was not the british sniper.

James vega on the other hand we have no answer to.

I heared it was Chewin3 who started with it. Him being British and said that he got hungry for Fish and Chips when he saw Nigel.

The guy with the eyepiece in the lower left hand corner is James Vega. Evil Chris confirmed that on another thread. I can't blow this image up enough to tell, though. It's from a picture of what's inside the Collector's edition.

I'm going to trust the devs on this one: Vega isn't Nigel. I fully expect him to get the same treatment as Blasto - just a mention as an inside joke for the forum people. Which is more than enough for me.

Yeah, didn't they change his name right after that denial?  Not that Vega is actually Big Ben, but I like the look and voice of the guy.  Kind of like "Malcolm" in the Sacred Ashes trailer for DA:O.

The thing is, isn't Vega spose to be fairly new to the scene... am guessing in age as well as experiences. So I highly doubt Nigel and Vega are one and the same seeing as Nigel FishnChips sounds like Richard Armitage and more 'veteran' to combat than I expect Vega is going to be.

So basically put, I believe Chris is telling the truth on this one.

Ok, I'll admit am tired and forgot that... one point still stands though, if Nigel Fish'N Chips VA is the Sniper as seen in the trailer and heard in the 'Fall of Earth' trailer, then it can't be Vega seeing as... said character is no doubt still on Earth.

Also James Vega doesn't exactly sound like a name a Brit would have.

Please excuse me as I make some notes that may or may not be of help to the whole "Is James actually Nigel?" thing:

• ME3 teaser trailer shown at the VGAs of 2010; hmm, VGA. Something's missing...! --> [ V E G A ]
• soldier sniper held up in clock tower which houses Big Ben in London, England obvs
• man with an English accent is heard narrating (I'll call him Meng - mysterious english narrator guy); VA currently unknown; most popular guess: Sean Bean
• think it's safe to assume a lot of people think the narrator and sniper are one in the same; are they, though?
• Meng is heard again in newer ME3 trailer: Fall of Earth
• Vega is said to be a soldier; some think he's the dude in the blue camo Alliance armour in the FoE trailer, totally sportin' a sniper rifle, I might add
• Meng can be heard in two ME3 trailers (teaser at the VGAs and FoE); I believe Meng is Vega, but that doesn't mean I'm right. Wait, I'm a woman, so I'm always right! Or is it left? I can never remember...
• hair of sniper in teaser trailer appears different from CC Vega pic; Vega's hair looks more mohawk-ish (really need a better pic to be sure)
• makes sense Meng/Vega would be narrating a few trailers; he's said to be bringing ME newbies up-to-date on the goings-on of, uh, Shepard'y stuff

That's all I got at the mo.  If I can think of more things to add, I'll ETA or something.

Can you imagine the fanrage from the MOAR ALIENZ contingent if we get two new human male squadmates, though?

I don't think they're the same person, but I'll wait on more details before I commit to any stance.
