 I know bioware said that all squad members will be returning but what about some of the crew members?  Joker will obviously be back, maybe dr. chakwas, what about the engineers Kenneth and Gabby?

I'm not sure how any of that will be handled. If the Normandy is claimed back into the Alliance Navy, what happens to all the former alliance, now Cerberus crew, such as Joker, Ken, Gabby, and Dr. Chakwas? Were they detained?

I have a feeling we really won't find out until March.

They didn't really say anything about the crew. Is it going to be the same old Cerberus crew that we've learned to appreciate, or is it going to be replaced with a new Alliance crew? I'm hoping for a mix of characters from the previous two games. I wonder what Adams would think of Gabby and Kenneth,

I can imagine some funny arguments between Adams and Gabby about the engine, with Kenneth trying to calm them both down.

Since they are essentially defecting (in the Paragon ending), know Alliance protocol and the Normandy SR2 really well it would be stupid not enlist them back into the Alliance.

In my main playthrough they died.

So Im sure we'll get new characters, or maybe if they survived they will be part of the team, not sure.

I brought this up a while ago. I'm hoping we get the chance to get all of the Cerberus crew back. No doubt they knew how much of a dick TIM was, too.

Ken, Gabby, Kelly, Rupert, and all those others that had banter would be cool to have, considering all we've been through in ME2.

I hope so, but there's no basis for speculation yet. Not that this lack has ever stopped us before.

Well there are 4 terminals in engineering on the SR-2, I want to see Ken, Gabby, Tali, and Adams down there if only to hear this,

I loved the Ken/Gabby exchanges. I sure hope they're back in ME3. Hell I thought they had more character than some of the teammates.

The Alliance ordered all crew off the Normandy while they worked on her. However, Ken and Gabby were buried in some machinery at the time, and didn't hear the order. Then main engineering was depressurized, and they were trapped. They managed to tap into the life support, so they didn't suffocate or die of thirst. They were trapped there for five days, during which time they finally admitted their feelings for each other and consummated their romance.

I hope they're back. Adams is also welcome to return - he probably knows the stealth systems better than anyone. However, Tali is in charge. Here's how the revised engineering roster reads:

Chief Engineer: Tali'Zorah vas Normandy
Power: Kenneth Donnelly
Propulsion: Gabriella Daniels
Stealth: Engineer Adams
Weapons: Garrus Vakarian
Everything Else: Rupert Gardner

I would like Kenneth and Gabby, even Kelly, to return along with Joker and (hopefully) Chakwas. Having them on board made the ship feel like it had a crew and wasn't just Shepard and his squad.

Oh and also Rupert! We need our evil genius ship's cook.

Certain characters did offer some much needed dialogue between missions. Even though they didn't do anything, the exchanges were brilliant. I did some searching and found this. http://social.biowar...index/1003133/1 on the 13th post, this cemented Kenneth and Gabby returning in ME 3 for me. Sometimes it's those small things and something as simple as listening to NPCs that make it worth it.

I think the Cerberus crew will go back to Cerberus. I've always suspected that there's something going on between Ken and Gabby, but that's beside the point.

Haven't you guys noticed how proud Rupert is to be employed by Cerberus? I wanted to tell him how evil Cerberus was, but alas.

for the paragon ending when your entire ceberus crew defects to shepard's side, i'd think you would keep everyone on the normandy as shepard's 'private/personal' crew then since the Normandy was upgraded by the alliance you would get additional staff to help on the ship aswell. also in GI they said there was going to be a few additional room you could explore, so that should mean that theres going to be alot more crew members around the Normandy.

and i would like to see NON-squadmates different races, like when you gain the loyalty or one race... lets say krogan, you get a couple krogan security guards to protect the ship against husks? or if you gain the loyalty of vorcha.... you get helpers for Rupert, so they can clean the toilets and eat all the garbage n the Normady to keep it nice a shiney

Didn't he die during the initial attack from the collectors in the beginning. Its the cutscene where you meet Joker again and is about to show you the Normandy. Also I think they are bringing the others back because if you did missions for them wouldnt they stay with you?

Rupert wasnt really proud to be cerberus, he was proud to be on a team to be making a difference... and i beleive he would agree shepard is the person/organization that is making the biggest difference

he didnt die when the original normandy was destroyed, he was reassigned with most of the rest of the crew from the normandy.

Oooooh  must have missed that somewhere. :\\  Ive played through Mass Effect 2 more times than one (literally i played it alot) I should have remembered. I think the thing that got me confused was when Tali (on Freedom's Progress) said that she missed all the crew.

There really isn't any reason they wont be present in the ship. My money is on that the whole crew ( if you saved them in SM with an escort ) is back. They, with you and your companions are effectively mercenaries from now on in a broader sense of word, since Alliance disowned you before ME2 and Cerberus did by the end of ME2 and thus they don't have any immediate employer or choice but to further tag along with you.
