I always hoped that there'd be a side mission associated with these two, or at least a minigame.

Bioware really missed out on expanding the Skyllian Five sequence, the banter would have been amazing!

When Ken first spoke to my Shep, my first reaction was "OMG! I've got Scottie in engineering!" </nerdgasm>
Having them back would be awesome.

I would like them back, but I would much rather we get a new crew consisting of aliens, since this seems to be the only way we can get a volus, elcor and hanar on our ships.
Plus that will mean that people that killed their crew wont be lonely for ME3.

My idea in how this could be implimented is that the Normandy will be essentially empty in the beginning, with a few alliance engineers on board fixing it when the Reapers land. Like getting the upgrades in ME2, in ME3, we could recruit crew members from around the galaxy, and through their help, the ship would be able to sustain attacks in the final mission.
Or something like that.

I always viewed Ken as nothing but a fun poke at Montgomery Scott from Star Trek. I enjoyed the idea that Ken/Gabby were Scotty while Garrus was McCoy. Now I just need to find a cool Mr. Spock and I'm prepared to conquer the universe!

Someone who can actually do a Scottish accent; being a Scotsman and realising that Kenneth is supposed to be Scottish made me cringe at how bad the accent and VA was. Gabby by contrast was loads better; which made Ken seem even worse by comparison.

My vote goes to Craig Ferguson.

All of them have to come back Kelly, Chakwass, Rupert and Ken and Gabby. My firts play thru...I didn't get to the base quick enuf. It broke my heart to see Gabby gone, and poor Ken.

I like Kelly, I got very accustomed to hearing her tell me I had new msgs. Loved it. When they were all abducted that was the most awful quiet ship ever.....and I kept forgetting to check my msgs.

But what if a player let the crew die? Are they gonna draft up a whole new crew with their own charming banter?

I wonder how they'd deal with Ken or Gaby if one of the two died...would they still be on the ship? Would their banter be/feel different without one of them?

Normandy just wouldn't feel the same without those two around. I always make a detour to the engineering deck just to hear them chat. I felt they had more personality than many of the squadmates in ME2 since most of their lines ended rather quickly without romancing.

I really hope that Ken and Gabby return with the rest of the Normandy SR-2’s crew. I would enjoy finishing the final chapter of Shepard’s saga with a crew I am familiar and already invested in.
