Maybe it relates back to that old thing about having split sleeping patterns? I read somewhere that until one or two hundred years ago it was common for people to sleep for a few hours, wake up and do some stuff, then go back to sleep again.

I think it's mainly about how we tend to be less focused on our tasks and let our thoughts roam more freely when we are tired. That is the moment when creativity can happen. Because it's all very much about intuition and not something you can force by pure concentration (not counting some creativity methods).

Me? I think I can definitely say I WON'T be able to get anything finished tonight, sorry. I'm just working on stuff right now. I'll probably finish this exact scene but I don't want to put it out there until its incorporated with everything else. Its killing me not to but I don't want to put anything unfinished up for you guys. It'd undermine what I'm trying to do with this. It'll go up when I'm happy with it, not half-done.

Normally I'd happily stay up hours and complete this kinda thing but I've got a fair bit of ME1 to review before I'll be totally happy with it (including an entire storyline area; remember its Feros or Noveria next). Even if I didn't have that to do I've got to be up very early tomorrow to catch a train to a one-day conference I'm at.


Of course if not talking to me just ignore all the above.

That picture made me think (when I'd calmed down) about Liara's skin - is it as textured as it looks, or does she have a transparent epidermis and her dermis is textured (ie it looks textured, feels smooth)?

Can't be helped. Someone managed to persuade me about a hundred pages back to write something, so I wrote something.

More to the point I want to contribute but I can't draw for crap. I've been working hard at learning to produce vector images but I'm pretty much awful. So my creative outlet has to be writing and I've always loved writing stories.

I mean the fact that 99% of the various gifs/pics/WHATEVER that are posted here are made from the FemShep perspective. Now, as I implied in my comment, I have absolutely nothing against people playing as FemShep, I rather like it. It's just that the themes do not always match with what MaleShep would do (feminine stuff).
I guess it's physically impossible for me to post anything here without pissing somone off.

That dialogue was hilarious , one of the things I liked about the game is how doing "the tour" of your ship after pretty much every mission rewards you with gems like that, sooo much better then hearing about calibrations and stuff to do in ME2 90% of the time

And here is Julian Shepard's two loves in life, blue godesses  and little ships! (maybe one day he will break them in dramatic fashion while yelling NOOO!)
