Liara is coming for the Illusive man.

Shame there was no more dialog between Liara and TIM beside that one comment on Thessia, they were rivals after all.

I liked it on Mars when TIM appears and Liara turns in half a second ready to blow his brains out before she relizes it's a hologram, her expression is priceless, another reason why I love to hate the Illusive man 

That was a good moment.

Although I always felt that TIM's line about the protheans should be directed at Liara, it would make more sense that TIM would try to talk about the protheans with the prothean expert rather than the soldier who most likely knows little about them.

The Protheans would've looked beyond that. A species that is naturally powerful in Biotics would be an interesting find but why would the Protheans particularly find them interesting? It also depends on when they started helping the Asari. And herein lies a point for speculation. When the Reapers came, the relays were shut off.

At this point the Protheans would no longer have access to Thessia. Do we have to assume then that they helped the Asari (and built that beacon) before the Reapers came? If so... why? Why help that species become more advanced since there was no reason to do so.

If they had helped them during the war with the Reapers we could say the Protheans tried to make the asari as advanced as possible so they'd have more 'space time' before the next cycle. If not for that.. they would've advanced on their own like Humans, Turians and Salarians etc..

I could of swore i heard Javik talk about how the biotics in the Asari were a result of genetic engineering by the Protheans

One was Alliance POS and the other was Cerberus'.  Give me a tank that can take a beating like the Mako with the Hammerhead's control and you have the perfect tank.

I hated the Mako in my first playthrough maybe partly because I didn't know there was a zoom for the aiming  but I really missed it in ME2. The Hammerhead was fun for missions that required speed but crap for combat. Without the Mako the galaxy feels a lot smaller because there's no chance to explore. I wonder if there'll be any chance for Shep to do some more driving in dlc, I thought she was gonna get the chance a few times but it seemed no one trusts Shep to drive anymore.

I have people like Garrus, Tali, and Liara make fun of Shepard's driving all the time in my fan fics.  Along with running Mako/Hammerhead jokes.

Kumquats83, Moreeman06, Andronic0s and I, a FULL Asari Vanguard Commando.

While this looks really cool, and is great for RP, I find most Vanguard players irritating to play with, especially the ones that think they have to bio-rush and/or nova every damn thing, and they always end blocking your shot.

I like the asari vanguard actually.  Sniper + stasis = dead. 

I have so many people get in front of me when I use my sniper rifle.  I keep thinking, get out of my way.  Can't you see me aiming my gun at the enemy?

I still need to unlock the asari adept.  I like that skill set over the drell's.  Which I have open.

haha yeah that was epic for sure!! nobody knew who took the death for his count lol but it was amazing! after all those games and when you went of, Devent entered the group and we were 2 asari vanguard, deventh's asari adept and Ananas's Human soldier... that was epic too!!

Well for one Shepard is not necessarily a soldier (Adept and Engineer are good examples of more cerebral Sheps) and also as Liara always says Shep probably knows more about the Protheans than anyone thanks to the beacons

I meant a soldier as in someone in the military, and no matter what background, I think Shepard never learned much beyond basic education.

And while Shepard might know about the protheans due to the beacons. It is Liara that is the scholar between them, the one who had dedicated her life to understanding the protheans. Which is why I felt it should be Liara TIM was talking to when saying that line, as it would be two well educated individuals talking about a topic of interest between them.

Yeah, I don't think you can say if Shepard is smart or not based on class.  I think Shepard in general has to be a tactical genius on the battlefield.

This sounds really lame but, sometimes I want to record myself playing just to catch stuff like Shep and Liara doing synchronized cover vaults or rolling from opposite sides and ending up right next to each other.

Yes, I can do it.  It looks like I have to record it over.  Give me about 20 minutes, I'll have it for you.  That part of the clip is only about 30 seconds in length.  BRB.

I disagree, an Egineer Shep for example would be somewhat similar to a Geordi Laforge or Spock, they would be well versed on their respective fields, and I see the Illusive Man as very practical, he talks to Shep because he values Shep's unique experience more than Liara's titles, also as a humanist racist he most likely is snobbing Liara

I don't think any Shepard is particularly smart. In ME1 Shep knows bugger all about other cultures and planets. Shepard being confused that asari can have children with other asari sticks in my mind as being especially stupid, how did Shep think the asari managed before they met other species?

Engineer Shepard might have knowlegde on lots of gadgets and some technical stuff, but said Shepard is still not much of a well-educated scholar.

I can understand why he talks to Shepard, but I still feel it would be cooler if it was Liara he said it to. As I said, two well educated people discussing a topic both of them find interesting. TIM is also not much of a racist so your last point is moot.

Being smart and being educated is two different things. My own Shep was a colonist, so therefor she never really had any education beside what she recieved in the Alliance. This is my explanation for the limited knowledge of alien culture that Shepard has in ME1. Also, that comment about the reproduction is completely optional, my Shep never made it since, yes, it is rather stupid.
