One of the reasons I prefer femshep is because most of the non-Liara LI's seem to come on less strong than the other ladies do to manshep. Aside from the horrible, horrible convos with Jacob in ME2 (which I save before in case I fall for some of the more misleading conversation wheel choices...and I still shudder thinking about "I'm more interested in just talking for a bit" *shudder*) it seems you can get around anyone else propositioning you. One of the reasons I liked the addition of Vega: he was SO my bro during the game that I could see all the "flirting" was just my Shep messing up with him.

Maybe Shepard wouldn't call Liara "ma'am" but Liara being bossy enough... who knows? For all I know, Shep could've been hallucinating by the time she's rescued.

Incidentally theres absolutely no way I'm going to have the next part of my fanfic up tonight like I'd hoped. Its nearly half past one in the morning now and I've been working at it on and off since about 8pm, with another two hours before that devoted to getting to the actual point in the game I'm basing it off.

Its crucially important to get this bit right but I can't go for anything particularly "spectacular" with it because of how the in-game conversations fit in. It has to be quite a calm and methodical build-up. You'll see what I mean when I post it sometime tomorrow, but I'm finding it incredibly hard to write this one. That said I think I've cracked it by scrapping my entire original plan for part of it and doing a total rewrite of that bit.

So, I'm sorry about that guys considering I made a kinda-sorta commitment to getting it done today. On the plus side it means that I SHOULD have two of them going up tomorrow (barring any massive problems).

That was annoying actually.  Leia already had to choose between Kaidan and Liara.  Guess who won?

If you talk to Liara and lock her romance in before talking to Kaidan, you get a completely different talk with him.

That's an amazing pic jlb. You can look at it a few different ways, one as the happy ending we all wanted, but another as the bittersweet, tear jerking one that I was more and more convinced we were going to get the closer I got to the ending of ME3. Every time I started to hope a little that there was a chance for a happy ending, I'd hear a line of Varric's dialogue from DA2 when he was bantering with Anders:

"A story isn't good unless the hero dies at the end."

Or something to that effect.

On a different note, I've seen some Vega hate around the forums, but I personally thought he was okay. Garrus will always be my number one bro though, and walking in on him and Tali at the end was one of my favorite non-Liara moments.

Vega is an okay character.  My biggest issue with him was on Mars and when he rammed the Cerberus shuttle and almost killing Liara in the process.  But Shepard gets a few shots in on him when they spar later. 

Between him and Aethyta using both paragon and renegade interrupts make sense. 

It seems Aethyta in a way was threatening Liara.  Shep didn't care for that one bit.

Garrus was a surprisingly great buddy. I liked this Bro Trinity he, Vega and my femShep made. I can't really understand all the hate for the poor guy (Vega), he doesn't do anything bizarre, annoying or suspicious

Don't worry. Its just the actual construction of the mini-arcs have to fit within the confines of what actually happens in the story. I can be creative and play with emotions with regard to what happens, but theres a certain overall tone that needs maintaining at each part as well.

Thats not to say I don't think I can pull off some really nice scenes. It just means that if you're after a quick-fix of kinky Femshep/Liara stuff its probably not the best fic to read.

I really liked the renegade interrupt with Aethyta. "No one messes with my girl" in Hale's husky renegade voice was truly epic. Up there with the Kai Leng stab interrupt.

Ramming the Cerberus shuttle was the worse thing he did.  Shepard smacks him around enough to teach him a lesson.  He seemed to not be as reckless after that pep talk.

And the thing with Aethyta, well, i felt like passing a in-law test of sorts. You know "let's see if you're good enough for my daughter"

That's true! I had forgotten about that dialogue in ME1, combine that with Kaidan's concern for Liara in ME3 and it might well be possible for my two favorite characters to end up together if Shep doesn't romance either, that is actually a comforting thought for some reason , I like Kaidan I was sad he didn't hooked up with anyone like Garrus/Tali did, I remember thinking he would make a good couple with doctor Michel, ahh well, c'est la vie
