So then...the translator uses Liara's 'real' voice when playing back the English to Shepard?

I prefer thinking they both learned each other's language for some reason.

Mainly because the words Liara mouths matches the English XD

I like to think this as well, but mostly because I find it adorable. Just the idea of them teaching each other the other's language all intimate like. So many feels.

Does anyone know if the 'time-capsule' scene is any different if you've fully rekindled the relationship with Liara (i.e. the talk on the citadel)? Is it even possible to do the 'time capsule' after that scene?

Always plays out the same no matter how things are between you two.

I have another question to add to jlb's; during the pre-cerberus romance scene, if Liara says "I love you" first, what happens if you pick the renegade option instead of "I love you too"? does Liara get upset?

Feels alright. And some Feel Boss thrown in as well. Shep has Saints Row the 24th.

What?
Liara has a Galaxy of Fantasy account.

I think I heard it go as  "We both know this is goodbye" or something or other.. I don't know because, are you mad? The first chance you get to actually hear Shep say she/he loves Liara. Not something to be sneezed at, to be sure.

It's ok though, yesterday i was using the asari vanguard but i was really wishing to get the adept because that's my fave class and i never get adepts anyways.

I have two serious questions...

1) Does Liara speak 'English' to Shepard or Asari translated to English via magical translator thingy?

2) When Shep/Liara do the 'I love you' thing before the Cerberus mission, is that the first time they said it or did they ever exchange those words earlier?

This actually an intersting point I looked back when I got the paramour trophy, I thought to myself "Wait a sec, over 5 years and none of romance characters ever said that until now?!"

Watched the whole romance of Liara from the ME to ME2+DLC and finally ME3 and only now about 5 years later we hear this confession.
Huh, kinda makes me think they had us waiting for..... if your into romance plots like me. Image IPB

I don't like the idea of a universal translator, since they aren't really explained very well. I just imagine that all of the characters in the game are speaking the standard galactic language.

I don't suppose any other 360 users have a good Liara pic they use as their dashboard background, eh? I'm on the lookout for a good one.

My gamertag is the same as my username, if anyone ever needs another blue body for Multiplayer.

not at all crazy, I picked "I love you too" , just always wondered if she would react differently (or badly, like getting upset) if you picked the renegade option.

@ Fingertip, I get the feeling that this is the wrong thread for you. Nobody else seems to have the sort of problems you do. Are you saying we should all act in a way that is acceptable to you, because you intend to be here, or should we all behave in a way in which nobody else but you seems to take offense at? There was an issue a couple of days ago on pictures, similar to yours, but nobody was as drama queen about it and went on about reporting posts. They just calmly said maybe this is inappropriate.

By coming in and smugly going 1) lesbians lol. 2) I'm reporting all this stuff because I don't like it, you made no friends here, and nobody would be inclined to include you in any discussion because you do not make an effort to engage anyone in a friendly manner. Had you come in and been civil about it, people would have less problems accepting you. If you continue to be unhelpful in your posting, I will just report you to the mods as being inflammatory, and I'm sure many others will do the same. Inflammatory does not have to be coming in and deliberately being childish either, it can be as calculated as you are now, with posts weighted almost deliberately to provoke a reaction.

Now please, play along with everyone else, or don't play at all.

I don't think you can say that this is the wrong thread for me, I've been throughally enjoying it, and I'll continue to read it, and enjoy it (hopefully), the only fuzz is that there's some explicit images that I(and others) don't find wanting in this thread, and I've made my case on it, but appearantly- that stirred up some heat among some users, and I've just been genuially responding to it.

I don't understand either, are you labelling me a drama queen? People wanted details, and I gave them some details on the matter, but maybe that just helped fuel the fire and make it seem more "drama-queenish"? It feels as no matter what I do, it'll end up in a backlash response. I just feel there's genuially abit of a lack of a civil response sometimes.

By coming in and smugly going 1) lesbians lol. 2) I'm reporting all this stuff because I don't like it

I think the "lesbian lol" is really really a miss on this, I didn't mean any offense by it, nor should any be taken by it if you're abit civil on the matter. I elaborated abit more on this matter in my previous post, and I don't think I need to re-elaborate on it furthermore. Weither I report stuff or not, is not in anyones hand or not- and weither it has any matter or not is not really for me to decide, it's the moderators. I just want to help make the forums a more enjoyable place in general. Afterall, that's why there's a report function, if things are abit out-of-place, there's the report function to help make ease the issue somewhat. (I have a feeling this is where my post will backlash). But do try to see this issue on my end :)

Had you come in and been civil about it

If anything... I have been civil. I don't see how I can furthermore elaborate on this matter more then I have in my previous posts. And in the end, I don't think the response has been that very civil- for the most part, and that's really where sometimes the "report" will help. Some reponse is just downright rude and uncalled for.

You must be joking with me. Unhelpful with my posting? deliberately being childish? Inflammatory? Do people even read my posts? It feels more like it's just ganging up on me for having a opinion on a matter and voicing some of the issue. This feels more like an ultimatum, and I don't see a moderator tag on you either, so I don't see why you should make up the rules. I think my wanting for "NSFW" tag is completely feasable, let-alone, it's actually forum guide-lines I believe? (I don't think explicit images are even allowed in the first place)

Now please, play along with everyone else, or don't play at all.

Patronizing much? =/

My fuzz is with the explicit images containing abit to much skin on FemShep/Liara being publicy shown. Nothing else, and I can't stress that enough. Isn't it fair that those images should have a tag, or at least only be shared through PM's with friends, or maybe kept outside this forum section?

China called, they want their wall back.

Don't expect much to be honest at this stage, but oh well.

well a little piece of your soul dies, you see her look really sad and dejected - she asks you if you really wanna be alone and cold hearted shep says she needs to plan the mission - liara says she understands, gets up, leaves - turning back once as she strides through the doors of shepards cabin.

@ everyone: can we all just get along, look yes fingertip said some things without any context, and yes they did sound inflammatory *holds hand up at fingertip to silence him for a moment* but seriously we're all maure adults over here, fingertip explained himself and basically apologized for the out of context comments. and in some ways he is right I kno many of us tend to look at this thread during work school and ome of the pics aren't really safe for work altough most of the time I've found that we're pretty good at labeling them nsfw some do slip through the cracks. the lesbian thing was uncalled for though and he basically apologized for that. I really think this both the regs in this thread and fingertip got off on the wrong foot and now because of this we're detracting from what makes this thread such a great place and that is the unrequited love/borderline worship of Liara the blue goddess.

So lets just say bygones be bygones and start talking about Liara again, otherwise you'll make her very sad

1 is never made clear I think, but I believe it's translator thingies.

2 I think it's the first time they exchange vows of love. Don't remember any moments before that. The second time Liara says I love you is on earth.

Far as I know these are both right. Minor comments on both:
1. I like to imagine that after defeating the Reapers one of the things they spend time on is teaching each other their language. ^_^

2. I've actually been wondering how to fit this in and if I can use this in my fanfic stuff. I've got this idea in my head whereby although both of them do express their love for each other neither of them hears it from the other until then.

Totally, totally subjective. Nude images are not automatically explicit. Showing "abit to much skin" (sic) is not automatically explicit. For comparison, "that" omnitool picture IS explicit. Though given your attitude I'd seriously recommend NOT googling it.

Just as a matter of curiousity: American, right? It seems to be a general rule that america censorship and media is less tolerant of sexuality but more tolerant of violence whereas the opposite is the case in europe.

It is certainly long enough for a common language to ve developed, and humans could have been brought up to speed in the decades since the first contact war, it also helps explain why there is so much english everywhere in the galaxy (citadel, omega, illium etc), the only time I remember seeing an alien language is on Mars (the labels on the doors are written on english and some other alien language :?) where it makes sense for english to be english and on Tuchanka with the ancient Krogan language, this would all make sense if english is a stand in for "Council Basic", though canon wise omni-tool does everything (gotta love a gadget that is called the "all-tool" )

I'd buy the excuses if not for the fact he has absolutely no reason to start going "reported" to people. You can report someone's post without telling them. If he really only cared about that then he'd simply report things and let the moderators deal with it. The only reason to be all smug and tell people is to aggrevate them and start a fight or possibly to try and put yourself on some kind of pedestal.

Sorry but he's just blatantly trolling.

Oh for sure, Shep's gonna have a blast teaching Liara all those little human sayings. And perhaps they're just afraid to say so to each other. Commonly used ploy in shows. I'm looking at you Castle.
