lol, really? The M-13 Raptor is not exactly a great sniping rifle, but it is great as an assault rifle with a built in scope! It has some disadvantages, but I am regularly first or second on the score list, and easily solo brutes and banshees with it. Not so sure about the statement about sniping vanguards, the only players I find highly annoying are those that just have to biotic rush and/or nova everything, or Krogan that just have to bash everything. These people make it impossible to shoot anything from a distance and they are constantly having to be revived.

Aww, but smashing things with my krogan is so much fun! I just picked him up last night and simply had to charge everywhere. I'm sure once I get a little more practice I'll become a little more subdued. But it's just so SATISFYING to send bad guys flying like that!

I'm so jealous, the Krogan Soldier and the Asari Adept are the only 2 I have left to get.

with asari's melee you don't consume any shield, so you remain 100% shields after charging and a bit chance of surviving the cooldown of melee while with nova you have to survive the cooldown without shields. Of course on gold is a different thing and I suppose I'll change the gaming tactic, that's where Bubble stasis enters

Well, no, I don't dislike the class, I just dislike the bull-in-a-china-shop mentality that many playing Vanguards just have to have. Do you only hate vanguards that die constantly? Or just the Vanguard class in general? I don't mean for this to come off angry or anything, I'm just curious as vanguards seem to get a lot of hate in the threads.

Players that knock everything around make it difficult for others to actually beuseful and , you know, kill stuff.

That is on gold, and somewhat true for silver too (Ravager shooting at you while standing still ain't good for your health).

It's my favorite class, like a rogue, but with a huge weapon (I tend to use black widows)
My Quarian is a pure stealth/sabotage sniper with a Widow III thats been modded with a Extra Clip 5 and Extended Barrel 5, she can literally solo silver waves that don't have side missions.
My Human is equipped with a Carnifex II with Clip 5 and Scope 5 mods (that I use for sniping, yes it's a heavy pistol but outperforms most sniper rifles), and a Hornet SMG (hard hitting for taking down shields), and Cryo Freeze. She can use Cryo Freeze ever 3 seconds and its spread rate is really high, so she freezes and uses the Carnifex to headshot almost5 everything. It's quite common to get 3-4 single shot headshot kills within a few seconds!

To some extent, I agree with them; if you're using a Raptor you're presumably not using charge - the ability that makes the vanguard the most durable class on the battlefield. Being able to solo a banshee is nice but that's not the vanguard's role

Soldier on Gold is like "Better not" kind of thing. I've begged for an Asari Adept for about 3 weeks, and yesterday, 5 Spectre packs in a row, Asari Adept after Asari Adept, it was like paradise.
